Well, my fat intake was way higher than it should have been, but yes, the rest did fit well within the guidelines, which was very surprising.

TOTALLY!!!!! I could not agree more. What you are going for is not starvation and misery, but just eating the way that the girl moms eat. There are women who eat like this every day and that's why they have all girls, but they're not going through the day dying inside and skipping out on pizza. Vegetarian thin crust pizza and diet coke - A LOT of women just eat this as a matter of course because they like it or they're watching their weight.

I remember that thread and I believe that was directed someone who was confused about the difference between sugar and sodium. They were thinking sodium was only important during the 2WW but it's blood sugar that's more important in the 2WW, not sodium.
Anyway, any sodium/2ww advice is more for boy swayers than girl swayers, because I don't WANT boy swayers trying to stick to those superhigh sodium levels when they may have a baby on board. For pink swayers, it does you no harm to stay off of excessive amounts of sodium during the 2WW and it may even help your sway. After all, if you don't get pregnant, you will prob. want to stay off sodium anyway.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Hmmm, today was very iffy! It was DS2's birthday party and it's been complete chaos all day! I didn't have breakfast but spent all morning making party food and at one point I was so hungry I was nearly sick so I sucked a lolly pop while I made sandwiches and pizza! I had soft boiled eggs and toast and unsalted butter for lunch because I didn't want to be starving at the party. When I got home after all the craziness I had some stuff I definitely shouldn't have - a cup cake, some of the chocolate birthday cake I made and a couple of small slices of pizza as well the wrap with low fat soft cheese and grapes I actually 'meant' to eat for my tea! I'm going to make sure I don't eat anything for the rest of today.
This is still an improvement for me - pre girl diet I would have eaten a tonne of sandwiches and biscuits and cakes at the party and would have cracked open a bottle of wine (or 2!) when I got home and probably would have rounded it off with an Indian take-away after the kids had gone to bed!!
I guess this is the day I stumled across a buffolo .,...2005

Don't worry, zanacal - I had ds3's birthday party today andso my day so far has been much the same. We ordered pizza (not the healthy, thin crust pizza, but the regular greasy kind. and I had two kid-sized square slices. I also had a regular sized piece of chocolate cake. I spent so long baking and decorating it there was no way I wasn't going to have a piece! But like you, I did much better than I would have 2 months ago. Normally I'd eat at least 6 of those tiny pieces of pizza and had lots of the salty snacks and pop I had out too. Instead I avoided all the snacks and kept the 'bad stuff' to a minimum. Happy birthday to you son, by the way! He's turning 4? Today is ds3's 2nd birthday.

Hello!!!! Happy birthday to your DSs, you should definately indulge in your own child's birthday cake, especially if you made it!!
Today went like this...
No breakfast
Lunch had a picnic with my mum but got away with low cal egg mayonnaise on brown bread (brown bread has sooooo much sodium in it!!)
no snacks at all-I was on the floor by 8!!!)
Dinner pasta (not gf, I thought I deserved a treat - lol!!!) with mushrooms and aubergine and Parmesan
I might have a yogurt as I think I can afford a bit more protein
Sunday tomorrow, more lying!!! I'm sure my sister is on to me!!!
