There was absolutely no doubt with mine, unfortunately. If he turns out to be a she, it means he somehow managed to have in utero sexual reassignment surgery!
Maybeoneday, I think that looks awfully boyish, but I would not totally trust any scan before 20 weeks, so who knows?!

maybeoneday- I think you still could have a shot at a girl. I agree with some of the PPs. The potty shot looks close to boy but it doesn't look exactly boy, so maybe some swollen girly parts. Im hoping for ya hon <3
AFM, dh asked what i wanted for my bday (it's March 25th). I asked for an early private u/s. I will be exactly 16 weeks, which is a little earlier than i wanted but the place i booked at said they should be able to tell and if not i can go back for another visit for free. Im very glad that we are doing this bc it will give me about 3 weeks before the "20 week" scan to get used to having a boy (if it's not my dream DD). We are not going to tell anyone IRL about this scan. That way i can let things marinate and grow on me should our final baby be another boy. Plus, maybe i'll enjoy my 20 week more, bc w each preganncy when they said "boy" i was upset (in my head, not showing it though) and was totally not into the u/s. I also wont have to worry about negative comments for a few weeks (which im bound to get bc ive gotten them every other time). It will give me time to get over things and such too. So i believe this will help a lot with decreasing the gender disappointment. Im super excited. Only 21 more days now!!!

Maybeoneday, I am not good at u/s photos so i wouldn't want to guess but I just went and looked at your nub shots. They do look girlie to me and you had so many girl guesses. I really hope that got it wrong in the potty shot. I know another lady on another site that they got it wrong at an earlier scan saying boy and it turned out girl. Don't want to get your hopes up but as I think someone else said it can happen. Your 20 week scan is the day before me, it feels like ages away doesn't it?
Hoping, how are you feeling? Only 4 days now. I bet you can't wait.
I really don't understand why it has to be so hard. Shouldn't we be allowed to have at least one of our desired genders. We are all good people and mums who just love the kids to bits so why not? I had this strange feeling the other day, that this isn't a girl but I do get a girl at some point. It is really strange as this is definitely our last baby. We are older and my DH would never ever agree to another one so I don't really understand what this feeling means. Maybe it means I will have a grand daughter one day. It has put me a little a ease but in a way I don't understand.Last edited by LO123; February 24th, 2013 at 12:29 AM.

Thanks so much for all your replies girls. I am expecting to hear boy but am not ready to lose my last bit of hope yet. I have hope because it was so early and am also given hope that the tech guessed girl at my 12 week scan and I had I done at the fetal medicine centre in London where the original nub study took place.
Will be thinking of you all with your upcoming scans. It is so nerve wracking! Xx- January 2008,

Hey LO..! I'm going well! I'm starting to get really impatient to find out.. I have been very calm and confident though and I've been having dreams as I'm sure I mentioned that I hear girl at the ultrasound.. So exciting. The feeling is getting real now though, so I hope I do in fact hear girl because I might take it hard if not...

So glad you're planning a weekend away! That's really good
have you decided what you're going to do?
Ah and what you said about HT and the new house makes sense Jennaesue. I admire all you ladies with more kids, I couldn't even imagine having more then 2, but I guess that's the only child in me that I haven't outgrown yet hehe
Buying baby clothes kinda soothes my want for a girl, although girl stuff is obviously really nice, when I see baby boy stuff it's just SO CUTE lol I think I've spent quite abit, but I'm always deal shoppingLast edited by cvd; February 25th, 2013 at 09:32 AM.

Our family is now complete - no more babies for us. We didn't get our girl but I wouldn't trade my boys for the world, so in love.

Hi Ladies! I know I have been MIA for a little bit but I have been having some crazy weeks at work and even crazier weekends at home. No one is sick thankfully but this weekend alone I had to go to a live boxing match about an hour and a half away from my house, a hair appointment, a basketball game, do a friends taxes, go to an appreciation banquet, and finish an assignment...all within 3 days. At any rate, I just wanted to say that I am so sorry that all of you ladies are feeling so down about this blue streak going on. I know there is nothing I can really say to help but I just wanted to give you ladies all

AFM: I am having my 3D/4D done on Wednesday so I will make sure to post some pictures on Thursday and I am also having my maternity photo shoot on Saturday. Unfortunately, it is at the beach and I thought it was going to be hot (I'm in Florida). The weather report says it will be 65 and 30% chance of rainI know that is probably heavenly weather for some of you ladies but man that is going to be one interesting photo shoot, lol.
