Oh, didn't see this before I pressed send! That sucks, but is also kinda good on the ttc front! No surgery to mess with. My sister has kidney stones all the time, they are painful but she deals with it and passes them. I think she takes some pain meds during the process. I hope he is doing ok!

Vodka snowcones?!?!?! AMAZING. I will be having those at my 34th birthday party next June for sure. And then I'll pump and dump :-) Have one tonight and don't feel bad. I had wine many times during the months pre-TTC and I don't sweat it one bit. If I have a daughter that won't be why, IMO. Did all I was willing to do and that's what it comes down to for each of us, I think.

Lola I really will be surprised if it takes more than a couple of cycles. While they were m/c you've certainly gotten pg 2x recently, so things are working, and now they are working even better with all your anti-ox supps and the clomid. So chin up, this WILL HAPPEN! That said there's nothing wrong with having "one of those days" every now and then and I completely get the "ready to get back to thin" mentality. But hey, how lucky for you that it is one of those days on a night where you can get a vodka snowcone, because yes, you do deserve one. Or two :-)

Thanks ladies! I just hope it doesn't mess with our ttc THIS cycle! lol I know that's selfish and DH hardly ever gets sick, but OMG what timing!!! Luckily I'm only CD8 today. But I am planning dtd every other day on even days, but oh well. It is what it is.

    Good luck Lola! Have fun!

Thanks for the info on the vitamins....I need to order some soon, where oh where is the money fairy?!?!

Lola: Girl, your body sounds like it is ready to be pg, again. Your plan sounds solid, and like everyone else said, you factory works....it's just time to produce that boy baby. Enjoy some snowcones while you can.

Alexis: Last year while I was 8 months preggo, DH had a kidney stone that was the size of his thumb nail and had to have surgery. But, he is prone to them and gets them every few years. It took him out of the BDing scene for less than a week. GL and let us know how he is doing. FX he passes it quick.

I made mini-meat loaves (totally boy friendly) and they are almost done. TTYL
    thank you GD

Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! Yes 6 weeks is plenty of time! I started I think with 8 weeks so I could spend 2 weeks on each lesson and in case we got busy or something and I missed days. Dh would even listen to them with me to put himself into a deeper sleep. I hope you like it! Be warned that it will seem really silly. I actually LOL'd a few times listening to the woman. But it really does work. You may not have a zero pain labor, but you will certainly be very relaxed once your birthing time comes (see that....it's not labor..it's not negative..birthing time..nice and easy).

Have you read the Oxford study? I think this approach is based on that + some Trivers Willard hypoth. In general, for ttc boy, eat often so as not to let blood sugar go on a rollercoaster, and always eat your protein and carbs together. Choose fruits and veg high in nutrients, eat loads of protein, good fats (like nuts and avocado) and full fat dairy. Aim for 2200+ calories a day. There is some consideration to a testosterone component which is where lifting weights comes in, along with some of the foods that help in testosterone production which are also those high in cholesterol, like eggs with yolks. That's pretty much it. But it is VERY different than IG. I didn't worry about minerals in general but did eat fairly high salt (because I love salt and have always had high salt, actually) and definitely increased my potassium via v8 drinks. Hope that helps some!
Thank thank you thank you. That's perfect!

Diet has been proven to have some effect on gender, and that is really the only thing that is proven. But there are lots of theories about high sperm count, more ewcm, all that stuff, and it seems like a combo of all of those things has led to a lot of boys, although there have been many opposites. On the old "guru" site, IG, there was a strict diet and a strict 7 factors you had to do to be considered swaying. You weren't supposed to post your sway and say you really swayed unless you did all 7 factors. But, many women had opposites even with doing it 1000%, and the site just kind of broke down, and there were never any really concrete reasons why you had to do this or that....I think people felt like they didn't know why there were to do this. The studies to support that just weren't valid enough. So, this site came about, and a lot of actual scientific theory and studies are shown here (see that forum!) and this site is more about you deciding what you are capable of and want to do. So, all that being said, the best thing to do, in my opinion, is the high everything diet, make sure you have lots of ewcm, and probably try to not dtd like 3 times a day so your DH's count is not diminished. I wouldn't say to bd like crazy, but every other day is not a bad idea. I did it two days in a row myself, but I am not convinced that you need to have your DH abstain from releasing for 4 days and then have a one shot deal right at O. There have been oodles of boys conceived bding every day through O. Anyway, you just have to evaluate what you can and want to do and go for it. Did you read the "Kitchen Sink" thread? Kind of explains that better. It is confusing, especially when it's not all laid out for you, like a step by step, but that didn't seem to work for people....especially because swaying ISN'T a step by step kind of thing because our bodies and lives are so different. What works wonders for one might do nothing for another. KWIM? I hope that very long explanation helped. I would just spend a few days reading the heck out of this site, all of the sticky posts by Atomic Sagebrush for sure.
Yes, it's reading all those threads that got me confused. I'd see what B was talking about then go read in the Science forum where Atomic says "well I really don't think that sways..." and so I'm just like wha?!? I just read some super long post with you explaining it lol. No disrespect at all, I was just so confused. I have to separate everyone's personal stance on it and just go with what I want to do. I think I just wanted someone to say you know, we really don't know that anything "works" or "sways". There's a few studies that sort of hint around that maybe possibly this that and the other is linked but like you say, our bodies are totally different and will do what they want. I guess though, I'll throw my hat into the ring as a case study. It's really going to make me healthier as living on coke and air is not going to cut it. I'm glad I found this site as IG just didn't have a good vibe for me. You all are just so so sweet!

Oh and no I haven't read all the studies, just the cliffs notes versions here. Low testosterone much? Way too lazy to do all of that LOL. I get into scientific gobbledy gook and I run for the hills.

I'm going to pick up VitaFusion I believe it's called. It doesn't have iron or calcium in it and it's a gummy vitamin. Iron pills always constipate me and I hate that anyway. I'll use Floradix when I'm actually pg to ward off anemia.

PrenateDHA (prescription prenatal w DHA in it)
    Royal Jelly capsule
    Bee Pollen capsule
    Vit D
    Vit E
    CoQ10
Multi-Antioxidant (this one is expensive, but has a blend of like 30 different things)
    Flax Oil
    Fish Oil
    Potassium (only 50mg)
    Zinc (30mg)
    EPO
    Folic 800mg + B12 tab
DHEA (75mg day, this one is big egg health supp)
Wheatgrass blend powder daily (wheat, alfalfa, barley grasses)

DH takes all the same minus the EPO and DHEA, and he takes L-Arg for spermies (which I don't take because it dries me up.)

I had ewcm this past month with the Clomid, which was quite unexpected, so I am thinking all of the supps and Clomid was a nice combo for me. I am not sure what to mix up this next month....I just feel like we did everything right on the money. I dtd the night before O and the next day also, an hour after I felt the pains, so I know there were bullets in the chamber, kwim? I did do a bsf an hour before each attempt, which I will likely drop. I don't know why I still do that. Old IG habits.

    What do you girls think?
Sounds awesome. I need to add in Vit D and Zinc methinks. So sorry about the BFN

I have to separate everyone's personal stance on it and just go with what I want to do. Exactly!!!! Yes, this is just what you have to do IMHO. The great thing about here is everyone supports that we all have our own individual thoughts on these things.

It's really going to make me healthier as living on coke and air is not going to cut it. This is pretty much my thoughts exactly. I read a bunch of the TW stuff and it made sense to me on a biological level that healthier people might produce more boys. Pre-swaying I ate a lot of calories (prob more than I did while swaying) but many of them were sugary or highly processed, washed down with diet coke, and I also ran about 60 miles a week. So for my sway I kicked down my cardio, added weights, and just tried to eat with a focus on fresh fruits, veg, and meat.

Also I took the Vitafusions while swaying and loved them. My current prenatal (Rainbows) is much more substantial but makes me queasy. I dread taking it so usually eat a big snack before bed and pop it then so it hits while I'm sleeping. Sometimes it works, sometimes I lay in bed queasy

Vodka snowcones sound so good right now!! I am exhausted from watching what I eat and remembering to take my body weight in supplements.
