We live in San Diego and are considering doing IVF/PGD soon. I've heard about Dr. Potter in Huntington Beach and Dr. Lin in Irvine. Is there anyone else that I should consider? Has anyone had personal experience with these physicians, and would you recommend them? Thanks so much!

Lots use Dr Potter because they are so open to GS patients. Dr Lin does GS too although I don't think he is aggressive as Dr P but the women seem to like him too.
There are other California clinics but most of the past cyclers post in the Member forum. Dr Potter offers a free consult to Dream Members and I think Dr Lin is free too.

Thanks for the replies this far! nuthinbutpink, what do you mean by aggressive? Does he put women on higher doses of meds and this retrieve more eggs? TLR, do you happen to know if their prices are similar or if they offer guarantees to women if it doesn't work? Thanks!

only can recommend dr lin because got success on first round with him.no experience with potter but on the phone consult i didnt click with him. i would suggest emailing the two clinics and getting consultations organised over the phone to find out which one you like. you dont live far so could drop by the clinics and meet the drs too.

Dr.Lin is more expensive. He does have a shared risk program that you pay more for but you get a refund if he can't get you pregnant after three tries. I believe Dr.Potter has something similar also.
Dr.Potter can usually get more eggs, he may use a higher dose or a different protocol. Dr.Lin doesn't like to get to many eggs, so he shoots for a lower amount. With gender selection its a numbers game. The more you have the better chance you are going to be successful.
I know there are women on here that have been successful with both dr's. I think you should set up a consult with bot of them and see who you get a better feeling for.1712
