Well I have just been to the doctor to have my coil removed so that I can start charting properly before out attempts at ttc in september and after 20 mins of very uncomfortable prodding poking and 3 different doctors and a nurse trying they coudnt get it out - apparently there are no strings left and the tool that is meant to do the job to get it out wasnt quite doing the job and so i need to be refered to the hospital but i face an 18 week wait for my referal as there is such a backlog at th elocal hospital - Im devastated as that takes us up until Nov time I know its only 2 months but in my eys and when your desperate to TTC that is ages away plus nov dec for me are not girl making months so would have to wait until the following year and then wouldnt get my pre sept baby ( long story behind that one !!)
Anyway sorry to moan and winge but needed to rant to someone other than DH as he isnt that bothered about the wait or the time it takes to TTC and no one else knows our plans. :-(

That happened to me! But luckily (although I was pissed I had to go again) they were able to get me to the woman's clinic where they put it in ad they have longer tools?!? Yuk anyway not sure if there are other options like that? Or can you say they put it in there they need to get it out... Idk, but that seems wrong to me! Maybe you could tell them it's really hurting or a little white lie to move things up?

My DD was conceived in Nov. as well!!
I'm sorry you have to wait so long - that does seem like an eternity when you want to TTC!
That having been said, there does seem to be a "girl peak" in Mar-May (in the Northern Hemisphere) so maybe by waiting a couple months, your sway will be even better!http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...s-swaying.html

It's rough if your a typical boy mom but to increase your odds of little pink goodness is worth it. I hated stuffing my face HE style but getting my little guy made it all worth it. Gl and pink dust

Thanks Ladies Ive made a bit of headway in that i took myself along to the local sexual health clinic thinking i had nothing to loose in asking if they did things like removing coils ( u never know ) and they said not as standard but they were willing to try and so although i know it will be painful its worth a try and so Im off there tonight at 7 to see if they can do better than the doctors at the suregry and the nurse at the family planning clinic did !!! Fingers crossed .... if not then i need to wait the 18 weeks for my referal which will be Nov/dec time and then maybe chart for a few months and think about it early / middle of next year :-(
Also on another negative note - as it could take months DH is now thinking maybe we should just stick at 3 as the age gap is getting bigger and bigger which is exactly what he didnt want :-(
