okay so I need a little help deciding what to do. At first I was going to do an abstain +1 attempt but my plans have to change because DH had to make an appointment for a semen analysis on friday....he says he doesn't want to change it because he really wants to get it over with. We believe his sperm count is normal now but just want to make sure because he had a varicole that needed surgery before we where able to conceive our last son. So anyhow I am thinking I might get a +opk on sunday if thats the case I told DH to release friday morning during his semen analysis then friday night then 2 times again on saturday and if i get a + on sunday we will dtd that night should he still release that morning also... I don't think he is capable of releasing 3 times a day. Does this all seem right? I also was wondering what happens if I don't get a +opk on sunday does he have to keep releasing 2 times a day? or what if i get my positive on saturday? sorry for all the questions i just want to get this right

Well it all depends - how eager/desperate are you to get preggo? If you want to get preggo asap then drop frequency entirely and just BD once a day from +OPK until you see your temp start to rise. Or, about 3-4 days in a row from your first +OPK.
The fact that your DH *is* getting tested kind of implies you guys are worried about possible male factor here, so if that's true then you really shouldn't go too far with the FR thing.
There's no need to attempt 3 releases in a day - it's very unlikely he'll have anything left! If you think your first +OPk isn't until Sunday then if you start having him release once a day starting today he doesn't ever have to attempt multiple times daily. Or if he's not interested, I would suggest twice daily starting Friday, twice Saturday, release once before your attempt Sunday and DTD. Then, BD everyday until you're sure you O'ed. On average guys usually recover anywhere from 24-48 hours, but it's individual.
But seriously, if you're worried about his count anyways and you've done the diet long enough, just drop the FR thing entirely. It's not a huge sway factor plus it really reduces your chances.Me (38) and DH (38)

Thank you so much you have been very helpful. We do have a long history of infertility when we got married I had already had a son with a previous relationship that was a one time whoops. After my husband and I got married we started ttc right away and after a year of nothing we got tested and my husband had a low sperm count they diagnosed him with a varicocele and we where told surgery would probably not help this was back in 2007 so we went ahead in did IVF and got pregnant with my DD. So shortly after she turned 2 we tried another IVF that didn't work so we went back to the drawing board and got a second opinion on my husbands varicocele with a different urologist. They did think that surgery would work to correct his problem so we went ahead with it and 5 months after the surgery his semen analyisis was all normal and we conceived that month so we are hoping that he is in the normal range but I am paranoid so I am having him go for a semen anylisis just in case the varicocele grew back. They want you to make sure you you abstain for 2 days before the semen anylisis which is on friday so I think I will just have him release twice a day and start with our attempt on sunday night

Hmm, having read your history (thanks for explaining!) then I would say you really shouldn't do FR at ALL. I mean, the only point of FR is to reduce count in a normal sample, and if your DH has a history of possibly low count then you guys are already there!
It's up to you, but I would highly recommend just having DH release ONCE a day between Friday and Sunday given his history. If he releases twice then you might have no chance at all. Up to you if you want to be supercautious and risk having no chance of conception though.Me (38) and DH (38)

I wish we could get his results before the attempt but that was the soonest they had a slot so we probably won't know till later next week which will be too late. We really are not in a huge hurry to get pregnant but I also think he may not be able to perform is I have him release twice a day might be too much for him lol..... So maybe I will just stick to once a day till our first attempt do you think this is more boy friendly if it turns out his sperm count is high? or is it more of a nutruel attempt?

Once a day sounds good to me.
Frequency isn't one of the big factors in a sway and with his past history of low count you have a big pink sway factor working for you already anyways. Frequency is more important in your first month on the LE diet simply because you haven't been on the diet long enough for it too sway hard for you. But if you've been on the LE diet for at least 6 weeks don't even bother with worrying about frequency. The diet really trumps all else.
You didn't mention how old DH is, but if he's no spring chicken then definitely don't ask him to release twice, he'll have nothing left by the time your egg drops!Me (38) and DH (38)

Thanks again I think that is a good plan. I have been on the diet for almost 6 weeks mainly skipping breakfast and staying away from meat. Haven't been really strict about the 2 meals a day till more recently. BTW Good luck with your sway I hope you get a girl!

GL to you too!
And you can have 3 meals. Just try your best not to snack, that and going veggie are the two biggest things to do with the diet.Me (38) and DH (38)

If you're not in a huge hurry to get pg, then err on the side of NOT getting pg, KWIM? There's always another month.'
If you may have male factor infertility going on, then you're prob. going to have to drop frequency in order to get pg. But since you don't KNOW yet, err on the side of being conservative this month even if it means BFN, because you do have future months to pull out all the stops!!!!
