Cetrotite
I have been coasting for 4 days now. On Saturday all of my follicles were 13mm and under and my E2 was 4800. Today I went for another u/s and bloodwork expecting my follicles to be only a little bigger, well the lead was 21mm!!! The nurse said that they were ready and if my E2 was under 6000 they would trigger me but my E2 was 6600. They gave me the Cetrotide shot and told me to take it tonight. Does anyone know how long it takes for this to work if at all? I am really hoping that I can trigger tomorrow as I am afraid I am already going to lose some eggs.

You have a huge chance at developing OHSS. I like the detail this site has about the coasting process- http://www.goivf.com/about_us/breakthroughs-pc.php4
I assume they have been watching your LH level and assuming you have not had a surge, Cetrotide should stop it with the injection. They need your e2 to come down quite a bit to have this be a safe procedure for you.Mom to

Yes they have been monitoring my LH also. I think they are going to have me trigger as soon as it gets to 6000. However long that might take I don't know...

Actually REALLY good news. The cetrotide brought me E2 down from 6600 yesterday to 2700 today and she measured 20 follicles so I triggered tonight and have ER on Thursday at 7am.
