A few times this weekend, I've felt this really strange sensation on the right side of my belly. It's very difficult to explain...kind of like a "pop" or a quick rubber band snap type of feeling. It only happens on the right side of my belly, and usually when I'm bending down (like to get my pants or a skirt on), but sometimes it just happens randomly when I'm not doing anything at all. It's not really painful, but uncomfortable and extremely strange feeling. I've never felt this in either of my prior (singleton) pregnancies. Any idea what this could be?
I was tempted to call my OB this weekend, as it's making me a bit worried, but I have an appt tomorrow so since I wasn't bleeding, cramping, leaking fluid, etc. I figured I'd wait for my appt and see what they say. But I have to admit that I'm really wondering what this is and I'm a little worried. I figured I'd ask if anyone else has experienced this or know what this is?

It may just be the ligaments in your uterus. I wouldn't panic.
Just mention it to your doctor tomorrow...but I'm sure he'll say the same.

Thank you, Beadin.
Does that sound like ligaments to you? It's so hard to describe, but it really freaks me out and I just had to ask if anyone else has ever experienced such a strange thing. It makes me worried that something might be wrong, but like you said, I'm trying not to stress/panic over it. I'm definitely going to talk to my doctor about it tomorrow though. I've been praying that everything is okay!!

It does sound like ligaments to me....I remember panicking the first time I felt it.
And remember....you have TWO sweet beans in there this time, so it would make sense you'd feel it even sooner.
PLEASE don't worry. ♥Proud mom of 3 sweet boys...

Maybe round ligament pain? From your belly growing at a quicker pace? Mine was always a very sharp pain on my right side

Thank you, ladies - you're both helping to put my mind at ease. I've never felt this in either of my singleton pregnancies, so maybe that's why it's freaking me out a bit. I always thought round ligament pain was lower, like near your groin area? Maybe I'm wrong. What I'm feeling is like, halfway up my belly (maybe a little higher than my belly button), but over to the side. And it's like a quick popping feeling, like a rubber band snapping, but on the inside, sort of. Really, really strange sensation, and super hard to explain. However, both of your suggestions of it being ligament pain does make a lot of sense. I'll try not worry, but I'll definitely be mentioning it at the appt tomorrow.

Did you have it as early as I'm having it...15 weeks, or so? Maybe mine is earlier and/or higher up because they're twins? Maybe since my uterus is growing bigger, quicker than it did with DS1 and DS2, that that is why I'm experiencing it now and not then? It makes a lot of sense - I hope you girls are right and that's all it is! I'll update tomorrow after I find out what the doctor says, but you've both made me feel a lot better in the meantime.

I'm having a similar sensation and I didn't have it with DS1 or 2 which is funny. You'd think my ligaments would be all stretched out by now!! Mine is almost like a "toink", like someone is flicking the ligament!! Mine isn't exactly painful, just weird. I'm going to bring it up at my next OB appt- but I'm pretty sure it's just ligament!!
Proud Mom to my gorgeous2008, and
