16 weeks definitely isn't too early. My DH can tell if a baby is a boy or a girl at 16 weeks and his area of ultrasound is emergency ultrasound so I would say most techs should be able to tell at 16 weeks for sure!!

I got told I was having a DD at 16w +3 and they were totally spot on. When they can tell they can tell. Congrats!!!
