Hiya,
My sister today told me that her little girl is purely down to DTD 7 days before ovulated... i told her shettles has been disproven to work... she argued it and refused to believe me and said I was wrong...
She ended it with saying I have a girl so thats evidence it works isnt it...
is it???
im so emotionally confused...

I know of 8 little girls (including my own) concieved with shettles theory. However, 8 babies does not a study make. Even though I have a successful cut off baby girl I still think it has more to do with other things than JUST cutt offs
Thank you God and Our Lady

Anyone has a chance at either gender every time. Scientifically, timing doesn't sway. Anyone can choose to believe that timing is THE reason they got a certain gender but timing alone just doesn't sway.

You have to remember the "science" Shettles had access to 40 years ago! Not much!

You're confused because you are rushing into an attempt unprepared.
I would decide of you really want to sway or if you are okay with either gender. If you do care about gender, either have us create your plan or spend the time researching swaying and create your own.
Timing is not swaying. You can certainly get lucky though!

I was really lax on the timing part of my swaynand still conceived girl. I honestly dont know what to think about sways. Part of me still thinks 50/50.

Everyone thinks it works for them because they've heard of it. But if 50-50 boys and girls are conceived every day of the cycle that's still a heck of a lot of boys/girls conceived on any one day.
I've already gone over this a whole lotta times so I'll just leave it with the link:

Our sway statistics and science indicate otherwise.

Take a look at your sister's lifestyle though. Is it girl friendly? Most likely the answer is yes, and that's why she got a girl. I truly believe in swaying, but I think shettles is crap. I know of just as many failed shettles sways as successes.
