    Early ovulation! Need advice please!

Hi Ladies, I've been lurking this site for a couple months and love all the info that's being provided!

I was planning to do my first try this month but I just checked my fmu and it says I'm ovulating today, which is 4 days earlier than usual. (Why??) I usually ovulate around CD20 but it's CD14 and my cm is also kind of watery and clear (not as stretchy as usual so maybe diet and supps are helping to sway pink?)

I've been prepping over a month now but a little bit nervious. Would DTD tonight after my DH, who's over 37, does FR (twice within 12 hours) and using 2nd "batch" be ok for swaying pink? My diet and supplement are somewhat moderate, skipping breakfast, little to no snacking and lunch and dinner portion controlled. I didn't go overboard with dieting but am taking supps. Also planning on taking zyrtek to dry up cm. Is that overkill?

Also, is it bad to ovulate early, as in, the egg isn't mature enough to be fertilized? Anyone know?

Thoughts??? Trying not to panic about waiting til next month or trying tonight... Thank you!

CD14 is not early ovulation. It is actually quite normal and when "they" give you your due date based on LMP, it is assuming you ovulated on CD14. Prior to CD10 is when there begin to be issues with the lining not being thick enough for implantation to occur.

Sway diets and supps make your cycle go berserk. Happens to everyone. I think any change is a good thing for swaying.

CD 14 is NORMAL ovulation. The egg has plenty of time to develop in that time. I got my DD with O 2 days early on CD 12 instead of my normal CD 14.

No way to know what is overkill until you give it a try! Some people get pg with insanely strict sway, others have to drop almost everything.

For the hurry up FR, I would like the turnaroudn to be no more than 6 hours and sooner than that is prob. better. I don't feel like 12 hours is enough (unless he's been doing reg. FR or CFR all along, that is.)

Sihaya and Atomic Sagebrush, thank you so much for putting my mind at ease. I really appreciate your quick and helpful responses. My husband hasn't been doing FR, pretty much abstaining. This diet has been so hard with the skipping breakfast and snacks and lowering my salt/potassium intake, so skipping this month would have been a bummer! We will do the BD tonight and aim for a FR with less then 6 hours apart and I will take zyrtec. (It feels too close to call, like I'm aiming for O+12 now...)

You don't have to lower sodium intake if you don't want to. That's just one theory and it's a LOT easier to stick to the diet if you don't. I didn't limit sodium at all for my DD after getting an opposite while not eating it.

With potassium, you MUST eat 2500-3500 mg a day, don't drop below that!!

Thanks Atomic. I did eat a few chips, lol. We also went with your suggestion and the the hurry up FR with 4 hours after the first release. The deed has been done! Now we're in the 2WW. I'm wondering if we had caught the egg right on O day (with the hurry up FR), does that sway either way or timing doesn't really matter much?? Also, I was trying to find a thread that recommended sticking with the sway diet during the 2WW. Can you direct me to that? I wasn't sure why though since, if already conceived, the baby's sex is already determined. TIA! =)

Timing doesn't matter at all!! http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...le-timing.html

I think the reasoning for sticking to diet is in this - basically it's because XX fertilized eggs develop better in low glucose environment and yoru diet may affect the glucose concentration in the fluids the egg moves through before it implants. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...-diet-faq.html (let me know if it's not in this, I'm just on my way out the door.)
