    Update! Ramzi Theory Results

I posted about a month ago asking for real life examples of the Ramzi Theory being true/false. I also scoured the internet to see what experiences people had with it being correct. I was told very clearly at an early ultrasound that the placenta was Left Lateral (which would mean girl).

Every testimony I read that reported they had a "left lateral placenta and had a boy" I took with a grain of salt. I thought they were probably guessing off of the picture or maybe didn't get their info at an early ultrasound, or maybe they were even in the bottom 3%, etc. I guess all of that was just wishful thinking!

Anyway, for whatever it's worth, I wanted to give everyone an update that I'm actually having a BOY! I couldn't believe it...although I also kind of knew.

So it is definitely possible to have a confirmed-by-the-sonographer "left lateral placenta" and still have a boy.

I can't wait to meet my next little man, but will be researching HT methods for #4!

Aaww congrats on your new prince!

I think ramzi is one of the better theories personally, i just think with statistics its sooooo easy to think wow thats such a low chance, it's easy to forget that 3% is actually a lot of babies. 3000 in every 10000, and I think there are way more than 10000 babes due every year!

My friend got quad blood tests back (uk blood tests giving you a % risk of Down syndrome) and her result was a 1 in 15876, obviously really low risk. She had a beautiful baby girl with Down syndrome, huge shock after basically being given the all clear, but she was sadly that 1. Statistics are great unless you're the wrong side of them!! Oh, unless we're talking about the lottery lol!!

I just wanted to add to your 'stats'.
The Ramzi Theory is only accurate if done at the right time and if you can confirm location of the placenta. So many people say 'baby is on left so it's a girl'. It's what side the placenta is attached on and only at very early ultrasounds. Some techs do abdominal, some trans vaginal. Some flip the image, some don't.
My daughters have used this theory 3 times. Asking the tech at the 6 week ultrasound what side the placenta is attached to. All three were told right side. 3 boys!!
So we have a 100% success rate using this theory.
My big question is WHY is this?

Correct so is this fair enough to say -

For an external ultrasound, if the placenta is on the left, it would be a boy. If the placenta's on the right, a girl.

For an internal/transvaginal ultrasound, if the placenta is on the right, it would be a boy. If the placenta's on the left, a girl.

I personally do not believe in Ramzi any more than any other old wives tale. It there was any accuracy in this, why don't doctors use this? How is it that you can only do it during certain weeks, any doctor or sono tech I have spoken to have either said it is BS or they haven't heard of it. Also, he is the ONLY person to report his findings, so there is no follow up to know if his findings are accurate. Take it all with a grain of salt. There are too many, if's, ands and buts in Ramzi theory.
