Planning a pink sway with PCOS/Metformin -UK

Ladies, please help before my head explodes!
I have read, re-read and read Atomic's PCOS essay until it is etched into my memory, but the more I read the more unsure I am about ever conceiving a little girl.
This is our last shot so I really, really want it to work - with a not-so-co-operative husband (tried to explain swaying to him - wish I hadn't bothered!) he is humouring me on some of the minor aspects (timing - to him - more sex. yay! way to get a man to co-operate, he started listening to that part)

Have any you ladies successfully swayed pink with pcos/taking metformin?
    I am taking 500mg of met 3 x daily.
I am totally unsure which diet to follow, I am very, very sensitive to grains, pasta, rice - I just stop losing weight.
I have lost 24lbs so far in about 2 months - still have a long way to go but the best way for me to lose weight is a LOT of protein - I live off chicken, turkey, eggs, cottage cheese paired with green veg or salad. My understanding is that to successfully sway pink my protein intake would need to reduce drastically. Not sure what I would live on I'm never, ever going to be skinny - will I ever get my girl?

I try incorporating the odd slice of bread or sweet potatoes but my weight loss stalls.
What should my main focus be? Keeping calories low - nutrients low - or concentrating on girl friendly foods - or all of the above?!
At the moment I hover around 1200-1300 calories a day and always skip breakfast.
What do my fellow pcos sufferers/met takers diet's look like?? I have been introducing lots of aspartame in to my diet and switched to decaf tea/coffee. I drink a fair bit of semi skimmed milk and ensure I have cinnamon every day.

For PCOS - is timing important? Which method is seen as most successful? I have a long yet fairly regular cycle thanks to the metformin. We are going to start trying after my next period which will be next week. I am so unsure whether to DTD every other day/every day and then stop a few days before O or...?

Also, last Q for now I promise...any supplements I should be taking or anything else really important that can help my sway??? I was taking a regular pre natal multi vitamin but have stopped now and will be taking just folic acid. What about cal-mag?

I would be eternally grateful for any advice - thanks in advance!

    ...anybody?
I've struggled SO much these past few days, calories have been coming in at anywhere from 600-850 a day because everything I would usually eat seems to be a big no-no on a girl diet.

Many people ahve swayed pink with Metformin but if you can get your hands on Clomid with your PCOS, that's a great tactic if you can get some.

Don't compare what is right for you with what others are doing. LE Diet is meant to be flexible and something that everyone can change around till they discover what works best for them. My recommendation for people with PCOS is to up intake of protein slightly, reduce carbs particularly empty carbs. A person with PCOS should not try to do the 'crash and burn' style of LE Diet particularly when on Metformin.

Please do not use more than 2-3 servings of aspartame a day. It's not proven to be safe enough for my liking.

You should switch from skim to full fat. Skim, even semi-skim milk is TERRIBLE for blood sugar, pretty much the worst thing you can have. It may feel counterintuitive but you are way better off doing a smaller amount of full fat dairy instead of skim.
There ARE no "girl-friendly" foods. YOu need to focus on weight loss and eating less overall, and in a way that is compatible with your health. If you eat less, the nutrients take care of themselves. If you go from eating 120 g protein to eating 90, that's still an improvement. If you drop to 70, better still. There is no LAW that says you have to get to 40-50 g or your sway will fail, and in fact if you're eating 1200 cals a day that will help yoru pink sway regardless of % of protein.

DO NOT eat 600-850 cals. That is going to ruin your metabolism and is not a safe pre-preg calore intake.

You need to tell me more about these "no-no's". I don't think you really know what LE Diet even is - it's not a starvation diet and there are no forbidden foods. A lot of your trouble is coming from trying to combine IG/FGD stuff with LE. That has proven to be virtually impossible for everyone, let alone people with PCOS. My recommendation is that you do JUST LE or JUST FGD (don't do IGD with PCOS) and not try to do this mix and match thing. It's going to be way easier for you to stick with.

Re cal-mag, that's your call to make. Several of us got girls without cal-mag after having failed IGD/FGD sways where we were taking tons of it, but you ahve to do what YOU feel is best and what the data indicates to you.

I have PCOS as well and am preparing TTC a girl. I know how you feel regarding the diet. Are you actively TTC now or are you waiting for your weight loss? One suggestion could be to continue your current diet until you hit your goal weight. Then when your maintaining you could LE diet with the proper adjustments for PCOS. GOOD LUCK!!! By the way I HATE pcos!
