    Ph strips

So I have the PHion strips and was wondering if any of you have run into this issue. Do you read the top of bottom part of the strip? It seems to me that the top (peach part) always turns a dark color for me, and the bottom (greenish) strip varies more...yellow when acid and more greenish when alkaline.

We aren't trying to conceive yet but I tested one of our lubes and the top turned dark like it always does and the bottom went totally green!! So I am thinking this is a totally blue friendly lube. I wasn't planning on using it, just wanted to see.

Anyhoo my question is...do you usually read the bottom part of the PH strip to get the most accurate reading of your PH?

I always thought you try to match up both with the most accurate whole picture??

    From their website-

    3. They have a dual pad indicator that has two squares using two different pH reagents. The top reagent is more sensitive to to higher pH ranges (7.0 – 9.00) and the bottom reagent is more sensitive to lower pH ranges (4.5 – 6.75). This combination gives you an ideal reading of your pH level.

I was totally confused by the PHion strips...they were so hard to read! I am getting a digital tester.

I can never match up the top and bottom strip to one ph level on the chart...so I think based on what the company stated above I will go mostly off the bottom color. Thank you nuthinbutpink for finding that! I have also thought about getting a digital but just seems like a lot of work with all the callibrations etc...I think PH has a lot to do with a girl but it's not 100%...if I have myself under 5.5 I will feel good

I got more of a feel for it over time and NBP is right, you do try to match up BOTH squares because they have different stuff in them but sometimes one changes more than the other does. Here's a gallery of pH strips that might help you. http://www.in-gender.com/cs/forums/t/51370.aspx
