Hi ladies,
We just had our anatomy ultrasound. Everything with baby was perfect, thank God, however I was told that I have placenta previaI am terrified. We had a loss before this baby and all I want more than anything in the world is just another healthy baby. I follow up with my dr this afternoon but has anyone else experienced this? The tech told me that it could still move and to try not to worry just yet but I am honestly terrified. I am so thankful baby is OK, but now I am honestly just terrified. Anyone else experience this? What was your story? Please help with any advice or experiences you have! Thank you!

A very good friend had this with her first baby and had to remain in hospital on bed rest for 4 weeks, from 33-37 weeks, until he was delivered by C-section. Baby absolutely fine and delivery was very smooth and he's now a happy, healthy 4 year old. 20 weeks is still early though as she wasn't diagnosed until the 32 week scan. FX it moves and your Dr offers some reassuring advice. xx

I too was diagnosed with placenta previa last pregnancy and was instructed pelvic rest. My placenta became a partial previa towards the end of pregnancy and baby breech so they had scheduled csection. Week before I was supposed to have my csection, baby boy was born vaginally with no problems. Since I was diagnosed with the placenta issue I had alot of ultrasounds and visits with a perinatologist.

I have complete posterior placenta previa - so it sounds like there is little to no chance of it moving. I am devastated and scared. I can get myself to a place where I am OK with the csection knowing it is best for me and baby, but does anyone know am I at risk for anything else with this? DD who is now 2 arrived perfect, on her due date and they started me off with cervadil because my water was trickling out with no real contractions yet...so definitely no preterm labor or anything with her. My cervix is long which my dr was thrilled about (4.5 or greater at 19 weeks). Any insight or similar experiences would be so helpful. DH and I just feel lost and broken over this...thanks so much!

I had it with my second son it even caused some bleeding and I was told not to worry its common the spotting stopped around 20-26 weeks I can't remember it was 6 years ago now :/ at 36 weeks I had another scan and I was lucky enough it had moved up enough and had a healthy boy vaginally! You still have hope and even if it doesn't move there are always c sections and they will keep a closer eye on you so don't panic!
Hoping for a pink rainbow!
