Hello!
I am hoping to get some clarification b/c I just read on another site that for those who are already on the thin side that losing weight could actually increase testosterone. I am on the thinner side (approx 140 lbs, 5'8'') and have been trying to follow the LE diet but am concerned now. We are attempting next week. I have been taking the vitex, doing the diet, taking cranberry and folic acid, and just recently added metamucil pills. I will be doing repHresh and zyrtec but after reading that on IG, I am feeling kinda anxious. Please advise!!

No, it doesn't. I don't have time this morning to go thru and link to a bunch of studies but trust me, I have tons of studies that show it clearly, both in men and in women. A bodybuilder would laugh at that idea.
The way it works biologically is, if someone has a lot of body fat, and they lose weight, body fat makes estrogen and since T and E are made from the same stuff, being overweight can make your body make estrogen instead of testosterone and so if you lose weight, then you will effectively make more testosterone because you'll have less fat that makes estrogen (let me know if this is confusing, it's kinda hard to explain). That is why you need to do diet for awhile before beginning a sway.
But if you are thin to begin with (or even not that thin) and lose weight, particularly on a lower protein, lower fat, lower nutrient diet, then your muscle mass will shrink and this will also lower testosterone. It is impossible to lose just body fat, you always lose muscle along with that.
Aside from that, there is no actual evidence that T levels in and of themselves are what is actually swaying anyway!!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
