    Questions about 3D Ultrasounds!

How early does the 3D US confirm gender?

If it is 14 or 15 weeks how accurate will it be?

I don't know how early but when I had 1 at 16 weeks they didn't show me the gender in 3D because they said it's won't show good yet only when baby is older.

2D u/s are much better for finding out gender. With 3D you often won't get accurate results.

Gender is actually always confirmed with 2D. 3D is not used for gender -just to see baby.

As far as when, I think it depends on the tech and the view they get of the baby. My DS was an obvious boy at 13 weeks. Most novelty places say 16 weeks.

I was hoping to surprise my MIL for her birthday with an ultrasound.... reconsidering because every place I found cost over a $100 and I would much rather use that money spoiling my kids.

i actually rang my local clinic yesterday, reccomended time from them was 22 to 30 weeks, prior to 22 weeks they said it can be difficult to get accurate gender determination...hope this helps...
