Atomic, does the IG diet have any foods you think are no-nos?

I know some ladies are doing combos of the IG diet and the low-everything diet ... so I just wanted to verify if there was anything that IG says is okay that you think isn't AT ALL and should be avoided in our girl attempts.

I do know from some of your previous posts that we should do skim for the dairy and not drink/eat it in excess ... and that tahini should be used lightly, if at all. Any other things to look out for?

    Thank you!!

I'm obviously not Atomic but the main thing I can think of is that Atomic suggests no meat or fish at all on the low-everything diet. Are eggs on the IG diet? They are very limited on the low everything diet because the yolks have cholesterol which builds testosterone. I had 2 eggs yesterday as a treat - I was so excited!!

    YES! Thank you Zanacal.

Eggs are a BIG no-no for me as are oily fishes like salmon. Even though there are no magic foods, those are two of the worst things you can possibly do. Chicken and lamb are right behind, and the tahini isn't great either. They also used to say whole milk and 2% was ok although I think they've changed that, and the FAQ is not very clear that they expect you to keep milk intake limited to the mineral ranges...I know a lot of people who think milk is unlimited on the IG diet and that is not at all the case. So people end up getting much more sodium and potassium than they're even supposed to be getting.

The people who made the IG diet didn't really seem to understand that your body MAKES testosterone rather than absorbing it via foods, so they left out foods that HAD testosterone in them (red meat) but left in foods that have the chemicals that your body makes testosterone from (egg yolk, oils and fats) and also the foods that your body makes muscle from (proteins)...when you have a lot of muscle, your body makes more testosterone because of that.
