Atomic I just wanted to thank you so much for this board (Gender Desire)!!! FINALLY I have a gender board I can post on without feeling guilty (I used to hate logging in to a board with the words "gender diappointment", made me feel so guilty!). I think this is a great fit for a lot of us who still very much want that girl or boy we don't have, but are NOT disappointed in our children or their gender at all. I love having boys, I just really want to experience a girl too. I used to post on the dig board and ig, and the endless moaning and many times downright awful things said about boys/girls on the disappoinment boards was very depressing and upsetting to me, which is why I stopped posting there. Esp upsetting were the women who wanted to abort b/c of gender (and some actually did end up doing that, with other women being supportive and cheering them on). I couldn't be around such darkness. I think a disappointment board def has it's place (the time is was actually helpful to me was in the weeks after my u/s), but it's not where I belong. I feel very at home here on this board, everyone seems to love their children and not hate their genders, they just want to experience the opposite gender.

So anyway, thanks so much!!

We have tried to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere but really it is you guys, the MEMBERS who make that happen!!! Gender Dreaming has the best and most supportive members of any board online.

I totally understand where you are coming from BTW - I LOVE having boys and was very happy as a boy mom for a long time but there was just that little something that wouldn't go away.

Atomic I can relate to you! I didn't had dissapointment with ds 1 because he was my favorite gender so I was lucky but with the second I had gender desire and I still have it.
