    Boy or girl? 40 weeks scan!!

    This is for my friend they say at 21 weeks she having a girl but now hospital say at 40 weeks it's a boy??? Please help!Name: image.jpg Views: 409 Size: 797.1 KB

    I can't tell what that image is at all. I had scans with my DD3 late in pregnancy and I was told that it is almost impossible to tell gender because of how squished the baby is in there and everything can be swollen, etc. I can't believe they could even see gender this late.

    Oh yeah good point - that happened to me too with DS3, I slipped and fell at 39 weeks and had to have an ultrasound just to be sure everything was ok. I wanted to make sure it was really a boy and they said that the 20 week ultrasound was more reliable for gender anyway and she couldn't even see the goods cause his feet were in the way.

    It happened to a friend of mine on her 1st baby. At 20 weeks she was told girl and at 36/37 weeks she was told boy after buying loads of girl outfits. She now has 3 sons and no DD for the clothes she bought 10 years ago. So it can happen but I would imagine it is rare.

    Gah! This is exactly why I don't really want to find out this next time!! yikes.


    I agree with the others and wouldn't worry about it. They are soo scrunched up it can be easy to make a mistake.

    May 2014 at 5 weeks

    August 2014 at 12 weeks

    DD1 our beautiful rainbow baby joined us october 2015. No sway...just miracles.

    Can actually see anything in that picture that it's a boy? The tech gave her that pic and said that's the proof it's a boy! But I can't make out anything what I'm looking at lol tganks
