You know when you're pregnant and you really feel like something in particular??!!? Well, this morning DH called into a cafe to grab a coffee but he had no cash and only card and they usually have a minimum spend amount, so I said to him "please get me something with chocolate in it" as I have wanted chocolate for days now.
Anyway he comes back and says how there was caramel slice that claimed to be the best in town and he hands me banana bread!! 😠
I threw a tanty, saying I didn't want the stupid bread and I wanted chocolate!! He just laughed and said he'd buy me a small chocolate from the fundraiser at his work today and then said "are you going to post this on your pregnancy forum" lol!! 😜
Men really don't get that when you're pregnant and you want something, you really do want it & not something else! 😉

On a positive note though, he didn't even have to pay for it as the cafe don't accept cards and so although DH asked before he ordered and then said ok, thanks anyway and went to leave, the owner said, it's ok, you can have it anyway and just pay next time! It was the first time he had ever walked into the cafe and she didn't take any details or anything??!? Although we will go back and pay, what a crazy lady?!??

Lol! This is one reason I treasured my DH, as he was SO GOOD at following my instructions EXACTLY. The only man I could ever trust to go the store for me. Hope you get your choccy!
The cafe lady probably had a good feeling about your hubby and knew he'd come back, plus, there is no chance to hook him as a customer if he doesn't try the goods. Consider it advertising at this stage. I worked at private cafes for years and we would do this. It usually turned out well as we managers had good intuitions about people.

I have only had two full out brawls with my DH - both times when pregnant. The second was so bad I threatened to leave him. Now I know as I rationale, unpregnant person that making threats like that is a serious no-no. But I was so furious and he just didn't get it.
Not to get all Dr. Phil and all, but I think both partners have to take half the blame, LOL.Sept 2008 & successful boy sway

Whenever DH does something that he knows irritates me when I am PG (like driving fast over bumps makes my stomach turn) I just look at him and say "one day". He knows exactly what that means now but with my first he would say "one day what"? and I would say "you couldn't handle being pregnant for even one day!" Now it is kind of a joke with us... anytime I want something or need something I look at him and say "one day"
