With my hubby he is very into whatever I say... one of the biggest was diet. I let him eat breakfast because he is very active at work but he has cut back on what he eats. He has not eaten redmeat much and I have let him cheat 3 times in the last mth. The hardest thing for him is holdoff on "relations" for more then 10days but he did really well with or first try and he even put a picture of our boys holding a baby doll wearing pink clothing so he knows what he is suffering for. He is very supportive with the fact that I have been going through more then him so the pills from AF-O, limiting certein foods, and holding off is nothing for him... I promised him many great meals after we get a BFP and he is excited about that.

If he will abstain or do frequent release, that's great. If he will take hot baths and/or ride a bike a lot, even better.

Licorice supps, drinking aspartame, and becoming a vegetarian will help a lot too, but be sure that he doesn't lose a big bunch of weight if he does become a vegetarian, because if he has a little bit of chubchub that will help sway pink.

    What a wonderful husband DM

My husband announced this morning that he was fed up of putting on weight so he'd been doing some sit ups and press ups - he goes months barely lifting a finger and starts wanting to tone up now?!

Atomic - do you think licorice supplements are a bad idea if I want him to perform every day for a week or 2 soon?! He hates anything with aspartame in it but I was wondering if I could provide him with an acidifying drink and maybe a junior aspirin while he's having his pre-BD bath whether that might help. Diet coke (or vodka and diet coke!) or a glass of wine maybe?

Oh no Zana, I'm sorry! Yes, licorice may be a bad idea if you want to do frequent release. It has made it hard for some guys to get an erection. But some guys are like machines, they can perform even with all that.

I think whatever you can do will only help. If you give him a diet cran with vodka and an aspirin, that will help. Even though it's at the last minute, it will still lower his pH.

My DH too, Zani!!! He's now waking up at 04:30 6 days a week to lift weights, etc.....ARG! Not that he wasn't toned and in shape before but now, he's going to be a T-machine! I keep telling him I think it would be sexy if he had a bit of a belly (gross but I say it anyway in hopes he'll quit for a bit, lol).

    Doula, YAYAYAYAYAY for your DH!!!

I think I've persuaded mine to hold off on the exercise - what a pain in the arse though and so typical! My DH is by no means fat, his legs and arms are always very muscley even when not exercising regularly and he never goes up a clothes size but he's eating far more convenience food (he's not on a girl or anything else diet like me!) and seems to be drinking my share of booze too and I'm not stopping him knowing that the extra podge probably isn't a bad thing!

Haha, well, as I've mentioned before I have the opposite problem, here I've made peace with GD and we probably aren't going to TTC again anyway, and all of a sudden my husband starts up all these girl-friendly habits! He has a big belly, drinks energy drinks and diet Pepsi nonstop, started eating Yoplait light yogurt, and of course his $%#&&$%&^* oh I mean LOVELY new pipe-smoking habit. GRRRRRR
