I'm swaying for a girl, but have had month after month of negatives (I started my stupid period today). I'm getting discouraged and having a hard time balancing swaying/wanting a girl and wanting to get pregnant. This is my first time posting here.
So, here's my question:
I'm wondering about using Preseed only for attempts made 3 or more days before O...?
My thought/hope is that it might help more sperm get to where they need to be, and that (hopefully) the length of their wait for the egg would allow some of the Y sperm to die off.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
DH and I are both 33 years old and usually bd everyday starting about Cycle day 9 or 10 through about 3 or 4 days after a positive ovulation test/signs of ovulation.
My current sway consists of
Diet (not overly strictly)
Magnesium
Cranberry
Folic acid
Vitex
Peppermint tea
Zyrtec (on some attempts)
Sylk (on some attempts, usually on days I've taken Zyrtec)
Rephresh (used a few months ago, but haven't used in recent attempts)

Not getting pregnant... Preseed 3+ days before O?

How long did it take you to conceive your current children, if you have any? I strongly recommend you switch to one BD attempt at positive OPK and I would try that for 3 months before adding in PreSeed (although personally I would never use it unless maybe I were on clomid). What is your CM like during your fertile period?
I don't think your idea is a great one as timing doesn't swsy, so a cut-off would make it even harder for you to conceive and if you did, the PreSeed would sway boy.
Drop the Zyrtec/Sylk, buckle down on the diet and try one attempt! I believe nearly all sways that fail do so bc of not following the diet and/or more than one BD attempt.
Oh, how many cycles have you been TTC? How long have you been on the diet?
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

We have 2 other children
My DD was conceived on the first cycle trying, and I believe I accidentally swayed for a girl as I was dieting (a general low calorie diet) and taking Zyrtec for allergies.
It worked out, since I really wanted a girl first.
My DS was conceived after about 3 months of "not trying, not preventing." I was eating a pretty boy friendly diet at the time.
This time we have been trying for almost a year with no luck. My fertile CM is normally good/abundant, so that's why I've taken the Zyrtec to try and dry it up a bit. I just started the Vitex about 2 months ago because my lp was only 10-11 days, and it has lengthened it to 14 days these past 2 cycles. (And I was feeling helpless about not getting pregnant and needed to do SOMETHING to try and help, but I also didn't want to screw up my sway too badly)

With DD we BD around every other day (if I remember correctly)
And with DS we did everyday (not specifically because we were ttc, we were just enjoying ourselves. lol)
I'm worried about my chances (of getting preg at all) if we only do one attempt at +Opk. I guess I just need reassurance. All these months are really discouraging me, as I said. I want another DD so badly, but I worry about even being able to get pregnant at all. I know I'm not getting any younger and we would like 2 more kids total. (The one we are TTC and another one after that.

Are you charting/temping and sure of O and when you are Oing? 1 attempt IS enough to conceive if well-timed, especially if you have EWCM.

I haven't been temping, because I have an odd/unpredictable sleep schedule. (There isn't a 3 hr. period I sleep at the same time every night)
But I've been going on cervical position, cm, and a positive opk.
Oh and I forgot to add in my sway info that I've been drinking crystal light/using aspartame on things.

I would start temping then bc it's very possible you are missing O if you aren't. I have an erratic sleep schedule also but have found that if I temp after my biggest block of sleep, whenever that is, I get reliable temps.

Why on earth would you add in Preseed without dropping other stuff first??
Give it a few months without doing jelly and Zyrtec. If you are doing timing, drop timing (sorry I read through your post several times and am not following exactly what you are doing). I would have you switch from having DH make so many daily releases, to having him release on his own or with you, with a condom, every 4 days, and then go for one attempt at pos OPK. I know it may seem counterintuitive to lower number of attempts when trying to get pregnant, but you absolutely can get pg with one attempt provided you are not doing tons of stuff to sway, and you'll also have better odds of pink that way (one attempt has gotten by far better resutls than jelly, antihistamine, vitex, and pep tea)
I would also seriously consider dropping vitex and pep tea because they can act almost as a birth control pill over the course of time and it may be preventing conception.
Under no circumstances should you rely on timing to sway. It doesn't work, your odds of conception are abysmal with 3 day cutoff even with Preseed, and has been totally debunked http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...le-timing.html!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

In taking a look at your sway I would drop Zyrtec, Sylk, Rephresh, peppermint tea, Vitex, magnesium, and I would focus on a LE diet. Stick with one attempt at +OPK. Maybe releasing everyday is lowering DH sperm count too much?? You have a lot of sway factors that can really mess with fertility (like peppermint tea, Vitex, releasing everyday, Zyrtec, etc.). Preseed is a recipe for a boy and if you drop the other things probably isn't necessary. GL and hope you get your BFP soon!!
