Hi All,
I'm new here. So this past Tuesday, I had my 21 week ultrasound. We barely spent about 10-20 seconds on the gender, since the tech pretty announced right after she touched my abdomen that it was a girl. We were of course ridiculously excited and didn't really pay as much attention to the screen (or I don't remember what happened- it was all a whirlwind). She showed us the three very obvious lines, and of course we come back home to announce to everybody else. About 50% had no clue what they were seeing, and the rest were evenly split between that's a blurry picture and don't go buying pink cribs.
Upon closer inspection, I guess the butt and one of the legs are blurry even if the three lines are clear. I'd appreciate any thoughts on whether I should get a confirmation scan and/or a pink crib. Thank you.
Additional info: the baby was pretty much sitting on my pelvis for the entire ultrasound. The tech did have some trouble imaging the spine, particularly the tailbone as a whole unit. We tried moving her but she was pretty stubborn in standing her ground.

I don't understand those sceptical people, why do they make expecting moms doubt what the experienced tech says? This is obviously a girl, I can not see why someone would tell you not to shop for pink yet. I would go on a pink and glittery shoppingspree if I had a scan like that! Lol! Congrats!

Classic girl, I'd bet 10,000 Euros on it!
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period
