    fibroids

Anyone ever have one of these affect their pregnancy?
Mine has gotten bigger since I found out I had it. I won't know if it's grown/shrunk until I go back for my 20 wk scan.
I was told before I got pregnant that it shouldn't cause any problems but obviously it's still a worry..

I know with IVF they won't transfer if you have one.

It is normal that they grow a bit during pregnancy. IF they told you it would be ok, then it almost certainly will be (they can tell based on the size starting out and where the fibroid is, in the uterus). 50%-80% (depending on age) of all ladies have them and it's really not as big a deal as they once thought.

I believe that's because the supplemental hormones can make them grow a lot more and faster than with a naturally conceived pg.
