Hi
I'm 27 weeks now, at my 20 week scan we wanted to know the sex of baby therefore asked. The ultrasound tech said she thinks it a girl but the whole conversation seemed a bit dodgy to me. What do you make of it?
Me: so can u tell the gender?
Ultrasound tech: I can have a look
Ultrasound tech: well I (emphasis on I) think it's a girl but when it's born it might be a boy
Husband: well how sure are you it's a girl?50/50
Ultrasound tech: I don't know the statistics. It was 50/50 when you walked through the door
Husband: so shall we not go out and buy pink
Ultrasound tech: well that's up to you but when it's born it might be a boy because the scrotum hasn't descended
Would you go out and start buying pink after having a conversation like we did? Everyone I know on here got a percentage of accuray of there baby's sex and all I got was 'I don't know the statistics'.
I didn't get a chance to see between the legs because the ultrasound tech wouldn't even show the screen
So what do you all think? Was she unsure?

You didn't even get to see your baby during this scan?! Can you go for a private us to confirm gender? It's lovely, they really take their time for you and you can look at the baby and see the little face in 3D and see the gorgeous chubby cheeks. 27 weeks is actually a perfect time to do that!

No, I never once got to see the screen
at my 12 weeks scan they the was really nice, showed us the screen and told us everything she was looking at/for.
This is the only picture I got. My baby was Lying on it's stomach, I'm not sure if that makes it more difficult to determine sex?
I've flipped the picture around so you can all have a look x
I think I actually see boy parts

No don't buy pink on that. I don't see boy parts either. I have no words for a tech like that.
