Hello Ladies !
I've read the LE boards and am still a little confused -
Can we have sweets ? I thought if I was within limita it was ok so I have been eating 1 vegan brownies with either lunch or dinner.
I know about the limits we are suppose to stay within but am still just I guess a little confused/overwhelmed so any advice or anything would be greatly appreciated !

As long as you do not have PCOS or PCOS tendencies (like insulin resistance), go for it! Make sure to stick within the fat/protein/calorie limits, and you should be fine!

As XX said, if you don't have PCOS tendencies and it's within limits having sweets with meals is perfectly fine.
FWIW, here's my advice on sweets and what my experience was. I started LE on the upper end of healthy BMI (24 I think?) and I included lots of sweets within limits. I wasn't dropping weight very quickly and was frustrated. I dropped all sweets/sugar and started dropping weight very rapidly - 6 lbs per week. I eventually had to add them back to stabilize my weight loss because I started to approach the bottom of the healthy BMI range (19) and my cycle was getting out of wack. I say this because sweets are a great tool on LE. If you have a lot of weight to lose (I had 20+ to lose!) I would skip them personally , but if you are at the bottom of the healthy BMI range and are trying to stabilize your weight I'd definitely make sure to consume them daily so you don't get underweight and keep your ovulation. Good luck!DS1 (2012)

I have a bmi of 22 but have been having a hard time finding things to eat since starting no meat and have had a hard time meeting calories ! I'm very picking and love my chicken and steak so this has been difficult and I'm still pretty confused on the ins and outs of LE :/
