Swayed Blue but Got Pink??

I have one beautiful DD with no swaying involved and i love her to the moon and back.. However i have dealt with and STILL deal with GD... i feel awful that i STILL struggle!!! It doesn't help that both my sister-in-laws are pregnant with boys i want to be happy for them.. and i really am! A baby is a blessing regardless of gender.. But the jealousy and bitterness hurt SO BAD!! I even had to unfollow one of my sister in laws on facebook (secretly) because i would cry every time she posted about her little boy due later this year..

All that being said, I have yet to find a family that swayed for blue and got pink. or a Gender Dreaming member who posted about it. Im sure there is a feed buried in here somewhere, but as most of you can tell, most people who deal with GD were hoping for a girl. It's not very often you see a mom who wanted a boy and got a girl instead.

I'd really love to hear from people who swayed blue and got pink. If there are any out there! :/ I'm TTC Blue in November and I'm beyond anxious about in.. and VERY nervous.. I just wanna prepare myself as best possible for the idea of getting another girl. I can't keep hurting like this.. What did you all do? Where do you think your sway went wrong if at all??? Or if it was just sheer chance that you got a girl instead having done the boy sway nearly perfect. How do you cope with girls and no boys? Would love to hear your thoughts and feelings with your own personal experiences! Where my wanna be or wished to be blue mommies at? <3

There are a few ladies in my due date group who swayed for boy and had another girl. So they do exist. Any chance you can go HT for a boy (IVF with PGD)?

I figured they did exits. They're just hard to find since most people on the Gender disappointment board swayed pink. at least from what I could tell. Maybe I'm wrong

I would love love love to to go HT.. But My husband and we'll both sides of my family don't approve /: and it's just too pricey.. I'm open to adoption though! I would love to take my somewhat selfish need for a boy and turn it into a blessing for a child in need! But obviously a little boy of my own flesh and blood is my first desire.

I'm sorry you are going through this. I guess most people on this board want a girl, but it doesn't make your wish for a boy any less worth. I mean I have 3 of them, so I understand that you want one I'm sorry your DH is against HT. Your family doesn't need to know, so you only need to convince your DH, not the rest of the family

I do hope you will be able to have your boy!

I swayed blue but am expecting pink. I'm still so angry and disappointed that I don't really know what to say about it, I guess, although I've known for three months. I felt with every fiber of my being that this would be a boy, and I STILL find myself looking at boy items and believing it will come out a boy despite two girl ultrasound IDs. I guess I'm in full-scale denial. LOL

I was the same way.. My girl is almost four months old and she wears boy clothes.. Obviously I avoid the shirts that say awesome dude and daddy's little man haha but she's in tshirts hoodys and jeans all the time. I think she has ONE dress that I let DH buy for her for Easter lol.. It's hard. And my pregnancy was hard. I hated it.. It was all fun till I found out it was a girl.. That's why with my next baby I'm going to wait till D-day lol. So I can just be happy and excited the whole pregnancy.

Thanks so much! I'm pretty much assuming I'm destined to have all girl.. But I would kick myself if I never tried to sway ya know? I'm sure that's how most of us feel too on this site.

There are def. several members who swayed blue and got a girl. Some went on to get a boy, others went on to get another girl or to move on with their family as it is.

I think it is best to leave people who got opposites to share their experiences in their own way. Going over others' sways doesn't tell you why they did not have a successful sway - not even I can go through and pick out what made a sway produce an opposite. It sometimes can create some hard feelings to ask people "what did you do wrong so I can do better than you did" (not saying you're saying that, but as someone who did have a failed sway, that is how it FEELS). We try not to pick apart others' sways on this thread and instead to use the overall stats as a whole to be our guideline.
