    Still planning

Hi, i posted a thread 2, 5 years ago now, i just had my second daughter and was coping with gender dissapointment. Now i am happy to have my two girls, and a year ago i was sure there would not be a third child. But the last months i have been reconsidering it, sadly i am not sure that having a third girl will be ok, i would be laying if i said that. I feel however that i should make up my mind.
I read that 6 weeks of HE diet should be enough for swaying blue, but taking supplements earlier is good. I take fish oil daily and B viramins for my hair, is there any other i should start taking if i am planning to start trying in about 3-4 months?
My husband also smokes, i am not sure if i will be able to make him stop. How important is it and how long should he be "smoke-free" before attempt?
When i had my girls i ate very irregularly and weighed less, now i eat more often, more nuts and weigh about 3-4 kg more.

I see that my thread is quite like that of francisrich.
    My question is
    - should i start taking multivitamins besides fishoil and B-complex? And what about wheatgrass? And 2000 mcg of folic acid now or 6 weeks before attempt?
    - i dont use a lot of dairies, maybe i should start earing one yoghurt daily?
    - is it especially red meat or all kind of meat that is preferable? How many days a week should i eat salmon? And is mackarel on bread good? I eat that almost daily
    - i drink two cups of tea daily, my facourite is lipton, should i exchange with green tea?
    - maybe i should start eating an egg daily also
I am a thin person, and dont eat much or regularly..

I would have you switch over from just B vitamins to a full prenatal and add in Vit. D to up to 1000 IU. Folic acid or folate up to 2000 mcg.

Smoking is not good. Both studies and our experiences have shown smoking by DH to be a strong pink sway. Even if he just cuts back it's better than nothing. If he won't, he won't.

Eating regularly, being above BMI 21, and eating nuts are all good for blue.

Wheatgrass is fine if you can do it, not a dealbreaker to be sure if you can't.

Yes have full fat yogurt every day!! NOT SKIM. Skim or part-skim may sway pink. Full fat dairy = boys.

All meat but red is best. NO more than 2x a week for salmon and all fish (2servings of fish per week total, no more) Do not eat fish daily for a girl or a boy (or ever when TTC.) There are small amounts of mercury in fish that may accumulate in your body and both sway pink and also are very harmful for future pregnancies.

I drank good ol' Lipton regular black tea and got 4 boys doing that. Green has the mystical reputation but I can assure you black tea worked for me. If you're upping green tea intake do absolutley start folic acid sooner because green tea can block it.

1-2 eggs daily if you can will only help.

So multivitamins, vit D, and folic acid, i could start with these already even if i am not planning the attempt for several months? What about wheatgrass?

I wil definitely try to make him stop smoking, but if i goes for quitting just for some time, how long before an attempt should that be? Should i give him multivitamins as well?

He should quit or cut back as far in advance as possible. 72 days if you can.

Yes, mackerel daily is bad. All fish has small amounts of mercury that add up in your body over time and they not only sway pink but mercury is also VERY harmful for pregnancy. Since it adds up in your body, it is not good enough to wait till BFP to cut back. Anyone TTC, pink, or blue, needs to be eating no more than 2 servings of fish a week.
