Hi!
I am also so excited to have you here. My question is purely out of curiosity- I am one of the lucky few who IVF PGD worked for...
I was under the impression that all men produce 50-50 X and Y sperm. I also thought fertilization in vitro was pretty close to 50-50, but I'm curious if you think some men make "better" sperm of one gender?

Hi lindi
In my observations, I have noted that if a male partner has produced 3 or more of the same gender, we appear to have to have more quality embryos from the same gender to transfer in a lot of cases. i am just compiling some stats and studies so I can post the observation.
But, in my opinion after years of looking at this, I believe ratios in certain cases are not 50/50. There is so much debate about this. The other factor as males continually produce/generate sperm, it could vary from month to month.
Hopefully, one day we will know the right answer but the medical and science authorities cannot agree. Big hugs Dr H
