What are some good high fat foods to work with the HE diet?
From the HE FAQ:
"You need to eat protein (meat, fish, dairy, eggs, beans, peas, nuts...
and (sweet and starchy foods like bread, pasta, potato, rice, fruit, sweet tasting veg, sugar in sauces/dressings or desserts)
at every meal and snack."
I am trying to work with these but none of them seem particularly high in fat content except maybe dairy (e.g. full fat cheese)?
Or am I misunderstanding what I have read in the HE diet information?

You don't have to eat super high fat foods constantly on HE Diet. There are plenty of other important nutrients for a sway besides fat.
That little bit you've cut and pasted had nothing to do with fat content anyway. I was attempting to explain to people about mixing protein and carbs at every meal and snack. Many people, when I say "have protein and carbs at every meal and snack" apparently do not know what those things are (??? this is one of those things I find really hard to believe but enough people say it that I guess it must be true) and so I wrote that as an explanation for the people who don't know what foods contain protein or carbs. Nothing about fat in that section at all.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Sorry I probably chose the wrong section to paste. I was going back to change it to sections about fat (there are a few) then found I already had a reply!
Thank you that was really fast!!!
This makes so much more sense to me now!! (I think!)
So it is the carbs rather than fat that are good for the HE diet?
Here is another snippet, with fat mentioned here (again from FAQ):
"Cholesterol from saturated fat makes the sex hormones and without cholesterol and saturated fat, you won’t get pg. For TTC blue, we are trying to improve fertility somewhat while still staying able to conceive.
Red meat, full fat dairy, and eggs are an important part of the diet."
I am also looking at many of the foods from your "Gimme a 5th Boy Sway" and trying to do these (although not in the same order) except for avocado (just can't have them) and blueberries (have read many mixed reports but also don't like them! Eugh!)
Why is Dr. Pepper good? Something special about it or just because it is full-fat soda?Last edited by zodiac; March 12th, 2016 at 06:02 PM.

For TTC a boy you just want more nutrient dense foods. Not carbs per se or fat per se, just more nutrition all around.
The reason why we have protein and carbs together is to stabilize blood sugar and keep it from dropping between meals.
Fat/saturated fat/cholesterol is certainly something to have, but that's not the ONLY thing in the diet you're meant to eat more of and it's certainly not a "high fat foods only" diet. You can eat lots of different types of foods to get a wide variety of nutrietns.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

You don't have to eat fatty foods necessarily. But just don't be eating lowfat or fat free stuff either.
Are you eating meat, cheese, butter, that kind of thing?!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Then I wouldn't worry about it.
Some of our blue swayers have a history of avoiding fat and eating only low/no fat foods. skim yogurt, salad with fat free dressing, top ramen, and chicken breast are not gonna help you conceive a boy (unless you eat a lot of other things too) you need fat to make sex hormones and also to ensure your body is able to use things like Vit. A and D (which need fat to be utilized)!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

As a mom to three boys, I only ate meat (very little red meat), cheese, and 2% dairy, and low fat yogurt. This got me 2 of my three boys. My third boy was a failed girl sway determined to join our family and melt our hearts [emoji4][emoji170]!

While atomic is dead on, I thought I'd point out: butter and red meat pack in fat alone, let alone "blue foods" like avocado!
I'm curious though to thoughts on bacon fat, considering animal fat tends to be bluer, but pork is pinker. (And I know, there aren't magic bullet foods!)
