Weight loss stats for girl sway??

Hi! I was just looking at all the girl sway stats and I see various statistics for diet (which type and how long people were on it) but I don't see stats for weight loss (unless I just overlooked it)! I'd be VERY interested to see percent lost over how long of a time period and the results on gender sway!

I can tell you that it is NOT very effective. We did originally track it but they must have stopped at some point (there are only so many things we can track, unfortunately) It was in the high 50% range for several years but yes I can't find it in the stats either, not sure why.

I have seen people get girls gaining weight and boys losing it. I have seen people get boys with massive weight loss and girls with massive weight gains. The problem with our statistics and this issue is because we recommend weight loss for girls, so people are losing weight in addition to gobs of other things and so it is reallly not as helpful to track as it might seem at first blush.

We do have the actual studies that showed that women with BMI in the lower range had more girls. That is what I base my recommendations on. Not our stats, because our stats are really more for information purposes only and my recommendations are nearly all based on studies and not our stats. Here is one of the studies that seem to indicate lower BMI = more girls. Influences of maternal weight on the secondary sex ratio of human offspring

Time on diet regardless of weight loss is what really seems to be getting the job done for us. Longer on diet seems more effective than % of weight loss by far and away.

I'm back! I have a prescription for Femara and Met. So, question now is do I delay trying so that I can do diet longer or go ahead and start with the meds? I will be adding cardio now as well. Let me know if you think it's important enough to diet longer or if I should start trying next month on femara. Doc wants to bring me in for a CD12 ultrasound to check my egg production on the meds. Next attempt opportunity would be about 5 weeks from now. My diet so far has been very clean and similar to girl diet except more protein, so I'm going to transition it to the alternate girl diet and reduce protein now.

Can you start Met concurrent with diet and then hold off on the Femara??

Yep! Doc said to start met now (which I did today) and Femara will be day 3-7 of next cycle, which will likely be the beginning of Nov with attempt middle of Nov. Do you think that I should wait until Dec to do the full diet with exercise longer or go ahead because my diet has been close? Also... just to confirm, are you recommending only one attempt about 2 days before O?

Perfect!! November is lucky to me as that is when I got my daughter.

I think that since your diet has been pretty good, and you have Met and Femara on your side, I'd go ahead. But it's your sway, your way.

Both 1 and 2 days before O are best odds of conception with one attempt. Some people want to stick it on O-2 because of SHettles. But I would point out it's going to be hard on Femara to time that, since your O day may move that. So I'd have you attempt at first positive OPK, that's an average of 1 1/2 days before O for most people.
