I could use some advice!
I've been doing LE since March 2016 - not perfectly, but I feel pretty confident about the past 9 months. I dropped almost all meat, all red meat, stopped snacking btw meals, did the 1hr cardio most days, and ate pretty low fat, low protein. After about a month it became pretty easy and felt natural. I dropped about 15 lbs, and was at my lowest adult weight of 115. My body felt leaner and I didn't stress about food. Honestly, I felt more feminine without the typical weight lifting routine I used to do. Husband was taking OLE and LR for past two months. We thought we'd try in Jan/Feb for baby #2.
Then came December! My husband and I took a 10 day trip to Hawaii, and I ate like it was my freaking job (still exercised, though, and it rained the whole time so I didn't worry about too much vitamin D!). A week back home it was back to LE as usual, and then we left for another 10 days for holidays with family and friends. I had a blast - and ate so much delicious, rich foods just whenever it was around. Snacking, late night eating, very little exercise. Very much the kind of eating I enjoyed before conceiving my son three years ago!
Now, I'm so frustrated! I gained about 4-5 lbs, and just feel more sluggish and disappointed that maybe I've totally blown all those months of LE - do I need to give it another 2-3 months again? My husband is ready to GO on this next attempt, but now I'm feeling hesitant. What should I do?? Thanks in advance. The posts and support on this site are fantastic.

My two cents: That's a long time overall on an LE diet. Yes, about 20 days within short proximity is a bit more of a break than say an off weekend here or there, but you put in a lot of time on the diet overall where I don't know if those days would necessarily matter in the long run.
To put it in perspective, I was essentially on an LE diet without trying to be when I conceived my DD, but I definitely had breaks on my diet around then because of special events -- a family reunion, a concert where we went out before and after, etc. I did have alcohol at all of these events, and alcohol seems to be a key part of the girl sways here... so I'd wonder if you had a decent amount of alcohol with these two, that still could be enough to offset the food stuff.
I can also tell you that you didn't gain 4-5 lbs of fat; EVERYBODY gains weight after the holidays because of all the water retention that comes from the higher sodium, sugar and fats (and often alcohol). It's almost always glycogen weight, and for LE dieters you're going to see bigger jumps on the scales from diet changes because an LE diet keeps glycogen levels low normally by rote of more cardio, less calorie intake, etc. If you got back to your LE diet, you'd see probably 90% of it come off within a few weeks. So don't necessarily think you'd need to lose that weight.
I wouldn't tell you to try or not try one way or the other, but I do think it's not necessarily a total game changer that those enjoyments happened, especially if you go right back to an LE lifestyle before your attempts (maybe throw in some extra cardio?). Totally anecdotal, but I know so many girls and women born in September/October that it almost made me consider December some sort of girl swaying month despite the old school swaying considering it a boy month, haha.

Thanks for the feedback - I really hadn't thought of the difference in LE diet 'weight' gain - it probably is more related to fluids than I've been thinking. Plus, quite a bit of the fun did include alcohol, as well. I'm feeling a bit more positive just sending these thoughts out there. I appreciate it!

If you've been dieting for 9 months a couple weeks off does not undo all that. I think you should just regroup and go ahead and try. For all you know you may not even have conceived without that break (you may have cut back too far and been on diet for too long and maybe your body needed it.)

I agree with the others- you should totally try this month. We never know when we will conceive. I think all the time you've been on the diet will send a stronger signal to your body than your few cheats.
I am in the same boat as you. I've been on the diet a year now, and I've had a few more cheats over the past 3 weeks than I'd like due to the stress of my DS3 needing surgery. I also found out I'm very deficient in Vitamin D. While I'm worried about my cheats, I feel that my body is so depleted right now that this may be what I need.
FX for you! I hope you get your BFP soon!
