New research mother's blood pressure affects baby gender, any truth??

    Hi

I've read a few articles lately about how you're blood pressure pre-pregnancy can affect whether you have a boy or girl, apparently low blood pressure results in more girls? Here's a link to one article:

A Woman's Blood Pressure Pre-Pregnancy May Predict Her Baby's Sex | The Huffington Post

Do you think there's any truth to it?

Nope. I have had really low BP twice (was told to increase my salt intake it was so low!) and got 2 boys. With my DS3, my BP was normal (120/80) but that was higher for me.

I would strive to be healthy and focus on lifestyle choices. FX and GL to you!!

My friend is having a girl after two boys, and her blood pressure has been high since the birth of her second son, so I don't believe it

Lower weight and vegetarian diet and exercise = lower blood pressure.

Being anxious and highly strung (aka many boy moms) also = higher blood pressure.

this is NOT something that sways in and of itself, IF it's even true, it is a side effect of lifestyle.

The difference was 3 points. 110 vs. 113. Both of those are quite low blood pressure.

This study is interesting but not useful for swaying.

Interesting but I'm not sure I buy it
I've only had 1 boy but I've always had low blood pressure, my mother had 2 daughters (no sons), and her mother/my grandmother also had 2 daughters (no sons) and both my mother/grandmother have always battled high blood pressure.

    Nope, don't believe it.
I have very low blood pressure - famous for fainting at anything - and have all boys.
