Exclamation Shettles Questions, help ASAP! TYVM!!! :-*

    Hi Ladies!

So DH and I are TTC this month. DTD a little early in my cycle after AF ended; started DTD last week a couple of times. Over last weekend up until today, I’ve been using OPKs and checking CM. We DTD Tuesday night and yesterday I had non EWCM, but not really creamy either. This morning it looks like I have a pos OPK (lines are basically the same shade). Didn’t really get a good look at CM, but I’ll check at my next potty break.

I am doing Shettles and LE diet as well (folic acid, fiber, alcohol, coffee, skipping breakfast, etc.).

I know with Shettles that it’s recommended that the woman doesn’t O, shallow release, etc., and I did all that the other night. My real questions are that now that I think I have a positive OPK, should we cut off? Should I buy a digital OPK on lunch and test during that time? Should we DTD tonight anyway?

More than anything, we want to conceive and we really don’t care what gender we get, but trying for a girl this time around would be cool since we’ve got an awesome boy already. 

BTW, this is probably the only website where I can express what I’m doing/feeling without being berated. You ladies have the best netiquette, love you all!

    Thank you!!!

Shettles had been disproven, and a lot of women here have shettles opposites. What seems to matter more than timing is the number of attempts in your fertile window. There's a essay atomic wrote called the trouble with timing, it will answer your questions.

If you had sex on Tuesday and you aren't in a huge hurry to get pregnant, you shouldn't have sex again until Saturday (no closer than every four days, which will basically ensure you only have a single attempt in your window). If you are really committed to shettles then of course you can decide to do what you like, but the best strategy for a girl would be to either have only one attempt when you get a positive OPK or else to attempt every four days to make sure you don't miss your window.

if you're doing Shettles you'd NOT want to attempt at positive OPK.

BUT that having been said, I and most everyone else around here has 2-3-4 or more Shettles opposites and Tuesday will be a VERY long shot. I'd have you BD tonight, just once, and leave it. It very well still may be 2 full days or even longer before you actually O.

After this attempt I'd personally have you pick it up with e4d after this in case of delayed O, but that's up to you, if you're really sold on Shettles you'd not want to do that.

this is also a valid way to do it. Totally up to you. If your test is NOT quite positive yet (and I can't see it from here of course) and then you O at the later end of the range, it could end up being 2 or even 3 days out still and anything from Tuesday will be long gone by then.

Thanks Atomic! I'll get on it tonight. ;-) I'm cool with the other Shettles tips, but I do like gender dreaming's timing tips better.
