    Thrush treatment -urgent advice

Guys I asked atomic a question but I'm not sure she ll see it in time due to time
    Difference.

I'm doing the BD every 4 days for a girl away and just BD last night on CD9. I'm due for next attempt at CD 13. I feel a bit of thrush coming on. What's the best way to treat it. Will the treatment affect my next attempt. What type should I do. Cream or tablet. I don't think I can skip this month because I'm on femara ( first month ttc for sway purposes )

Anyone know what's the best to do ? I potentially BD last night already with thrush but can't dwell too much on that.

Yes I'd be keen to hear about this too...

Does thrush cream (eh canesten) work like reFresh and give a better PH for Ttc girl?

Do you mean thrush in your vagina, or on your nipples for nursing? I'm guessing you mean internally if it affects sex? Re: nipples -- a mixture of an antifungal cream mixed with an antibiotic cream and an anti-inflammatory cream.

For vaginal thrust: Not sure on the swaying angle of it, but Greek yogurt applied inside temporarily and eaten is generally a safe treatment for thrush and other yeast/fungal infections of that area without causing further infection/pH imbalance. However, I know pH is sort of an area of concern with some swayers, so also not sure about the impact of this.

But at least for the treatment angle, plain Greek yogurt (eat it, too!)

No, thrush cream does not affect pH like RepHresh. If anything it has a higher pH. But it may still sway pink (it is harsh on sperm) we just don't know.

I don't like anyone miserable because of thrush though so I think everyone should just treat it when it arises.

In UK and Australia what we call YI they call thrush.

I have used the yogurt effectively myself but several people told me it hadn't worked for them so I had to stop recommending it. I do recommend it absolutely for a follow up AFTER treatment or during treatment to help repopulate the area with good guys.

We call it thrush in the U.S., too, but we tend to call it thrush specifically for nipple yeast infections which is why I sought the clarification. The topical cream for nipples wouldn't be a good idea for the vagina, for instance (or at least, I don't think so.) Likewise, purple gentia works well on nipple thrush but would be too caustic for the vagina.

OP, if the yogurt's a no go, try to cut yeasty products out of your diet and get some treatment from a doc, or an over the counter pill!

yes, I completely understand that, we call it thrush inside baby's mouth and in mom's nipples. I was simply trying to clarify not only to you but to others who may have been confused
