    Bad day

Had a day out today and we had a meal and I just couldn't help myself and had fish, chips and beans! (I would normally get a big steak)
Got home and have looked online and it's 70g of protein, added the bagel I had before we left and I am soooo over limits!
Have only been on the diet since last Monday and I've mucked up already!
    Stresssssssss

Ganna be hungry later but can't eat anything else!! Maybe a few jelly beans!
Do other people have days like this and how often?

As you can tell I'm a worrier :wink

It's okay and encouraged for anyone doing LE to have a cheat once in awhile. It's the only way to stay sane! Don't sweat it!

Glad I'm not the only one and I haven't ruined things!!
In the grand scheme of things one day going 20g over protein isn't that bad I guess!
Plan on doing the diet for 12 weeks and was going to have a cheat day every Sunday but now I've started, I don't wanna have the cheat days but like you said i need to keep sane
And OMG the meal was so good haha! X

Don't even worry about it, it happens. Remember cheating is not only allowed, but encouraged on LE Diet.

re not wanting to cheat - I know it can mess with your head but you NEED those cheats for a few different reasons

1)so you can kill cravings before they take over and make you end up eating wayyyy more than you would have otherwise. People crave a food they feel is "forbidden" (there are no forbidden foods on LE Diet) and then end up eating 2000 cals of rice cakes and cranberies trying to satsify the urge, by which point the diet is blown anyway and then they say "oh screw it" and have the thing they wanted plus a pie and a bacon double cheeseburger. If they'd just eaten the thing they wanted to start with the craving would have been sated for way less damage.

2)Social events - people back on IG would stress, stress, stress and obsess about these. Since I believe (strongly) that the more you sit around thinking about swaying, the "bluer" your mindset gets, this means people would be undermining their sways for weeks in advance of social occasions for a single meal or day or short vacation that could have done NO damage in the grand scheme. It literally makes NO sense you have to stay good on diet constantly since no one on the Planet Earth is doing that. Everyone eats on holidays or when they're away with their hubby or whatever. So just allow yourself to go to your event and eat whatever, 9 times out of 10 you'll find that just giving yourself permission means you'll make the best choices you can and often not even end up going out of your range for the day. Everything feels like a treat on a holiday or vacation so it's actually quite easy to pick LE Diet type foods like shrimp or fruit or a big salad and feel like you've had an extravaganza when you haven't. Or get whatever you want (if you're at a restaurant) and then take half home in a doggy bag. Again, just like with number 1 above, you end up eating less by allowing yourself to do that, than to try to be good and smuggle rice cakes into a 5 star restaurant or your Grandmas and then end up saying "oh screw this" and eating everything that isn't nailed down!

3)It allows your body a chance at nutrients you may not be getting much of. Your body is really good at recognizing when you're a bit low in things and then grabbing them as they go by. But this doesn't work if you are not ever giving yourself a chance at them! Having a piece of chicken or some shrimp or dark leafy greens a few times a month ensures you're still getting adequate nutrition to get and stay pregnant without eating them day in and day out. HTH

I just wanted to say please don't worry about the cheats. I've been on this journey since November now (never did I think it'd take me this long to get pregnant after getting pregnant first try with both boys) - I used to stress every time I had a bit of chicken or an ice cream or whatever but after this long I realise my body actually NEEDS me to cheat or I stop ovulating/my cycles get messed up. My husband always says to me: 'do you really believe women who have girls have never been out for a meal, had a hungry day, gone to special occasions, had an ice cream when out with their kids etc etc and it really helps me put things in perspective. Every month in the two week wait I used to lie in bed awake panicking that I might be pregnant and that I had eaten a burger a few days before I ovulated or that I'd had a biscuit or exercised for 53 minutes instead of an hour but now if I ever get pregnant I know that I did everything I COULD whilst keeping my sanity and being a good mum to the two boys I already have. My lifestyle is totally different to when I had my boys so if I have another boy, I will know for sure he will belong in my life and complete my family and it won't be because I ate breakfast before 10am some days or pigged out on a chocolate cheesecake once in a while. Just think about it - when I was living a 'boy' lifestyle - I still had days I didn't eat much, skipped breakfast etc etc - it didn't mean I got a girl, did it?! Hope that helps and good luck!
