    Attempt question

Ok so if I have my attempt on September 7th (cycle day 11) can I have another attempt on September 10th (cycle day 14) would this still be considered one attempt in my fertile window? Or is this considered two attempts?

Depends on when you ovulate. Unless you were advised otherwise, just stick with E4D.

    It's one attempt-ish.

My thinking is, if anything is left from the CD 11 attempt, it will have fertilized the egg before the CD 14 attempt would have capacitated. And if there wasn't anything left over from the CD 11 attempt, then the CD 14 attempt will have a shot.

But we really honestly don't even KNOW how one attempt works. So while people are getting girls doing that, when you guys ask me point blank "is this one attempt" I can't really honestly say yay or nay simply because I have no clue why one attempt works and how it sways and thus if there's some other thing I don't know, or maybe some cases where it isn't, I just can't state boldly that it is, if that makes sense.

So, terribly frustrating answer I know, but I mostly consider it kinda one attempt but I reserve the right to be wrong.

Long story short - people are getting girls doing that, and we don't have enough info to say if it is better or worse results than one and only one attempt.

This makes sense. I know you have told me to start off one attempt. So for this month I will just stick with the one at positive opk. I think since my fertile days are approaching, as well as baby fever at an all time high, I'm simply getting excited and thinking to much. I appreciate the honest response. It's been very helpful!

I have a higher level of confidence in the straight up one attempt. This may change over time but for now I feel one attempt has proven itself to me in a way (which I'm happy to describe if you'd like) that e4d has not, yet. It very well may in time, but for now it just hasn't proven itself in my mind.

I will be sticking with the one attempt. However could you link or comment why you think one attempt is a good strategy. I find it very interesting. Thanks again!

In the earliest days of this site, after having witnessed firsthand back on Ingender, people's lives ruined as they swayed for years only to get an opposite or even NEVER having another child because they swayed for so long they were too old to get pregnant, I had people do all the strict old school sway tactics (timing, frequency, pH, etc) and then add attempts to get pregnant. So we had people doing every old school sway trick in the book and then having lots of attempts so they could conceive while doing all that stuff. And it was by far and away our worst success rates (58%). People with absolutely perfect sways were getting boys and no one could understand why. But then in the statistics we noticed that one attempt had about 75% success rates, 2 attempts had about 60% success rates, and then 3 attempts had a really lame 40% success rate (even though many of those people were doing tons and tons of stuff to sway!) These numbers have changed over time but the trend has stayed the same. And at the same time all the other things, the frequency and jelly and other stuff appeared not to even be doing anything at all to help.

So I started to wonder "could number of attempts be swaying somehow" even though it seemed really ridiculous and farfetched. So I had people change that, and start dropping other stuff while keeping one attempt. Our success rates went up and up and up and have stayed up ever since. Plus, some people with mediocre at best sway diets even got girls doing one attempt. I can find no other explanation for the entire chain of events other than one attempt is swaying, some how, some way. And I believe in it, having seen that firsthand.

E4d may in the end turn out to be just as good or even better but as it sits now I do not have that eyewitness experience and thus for now I do still want you guys to start off doing one attempt if at all possible before going right to e4d.

Keeping in mind this is just my personal theory and I have no evidence to support it, I believe it's something else entirely. I suspect there is either some sort of communication between the sperm that keeps some of them dormant and others woken up and/or something that gives one or the other the advantage in penetrating the eggshell. Not something to do with the egg itself, necessarily, although that could play a part but some advantage that comes from X or Y that happens by way of interaction between the fluids in the woman's repro tract and/or the man's semen and other sperm that gives either X or Y an advantage at being first into the egg.
