    Supplements

My chiropractor would like me to try Pannac ginsing and bromelian this cycle (attempt 5, no holding back at any point). Does anyone have any information? Will this kill my boy attempt or help it? My husband is going to be leaving next month to work out of state for 4-5 months. I'm running out of time if we want to have a 2018 kid.

I prefer women don't take ginseng as it makes me nervous because some evidence indicates it slows growth of rapidly dividing cells (which is partly why it may be of benefit to cancer patients) Supposedly it improves blood flow as a tradeoff but I just feel like since it's really not proven safe, and it may inhibit cell division, (and we don't even know that it's a lack of blood flow that is the problem, and even if it is, there are other things you could do to improve that like massage) it's not what I like you guys to ingest while TTC.

Some people swear by ginseng for men for blue sways. I have reservations due to the whole "cell division" thing but perhaps that is countered by the improved blood flow (which really does seem to matter where men are concerned for their fertility) So I'd suggest a compromise where you give him the ginseng and try massage instead.

Bromelian is meant to aid in conception. It's a mild anti-inflammatory and blood thinner Pineapple and Implantation: Does it really work? – TNCRA and so acts much like aspirin is said to (even though I now no longer believe that aspirin is beneficial to the general population). My concern with bromelian is that again, we don't even know that your blood being "thick" is even a problem and there are equal issues with your blood being thinned too much. If you're already on fish oil, tossing bromelain on top of it might create the opposite issue - as a baby implants, you develop a subchorionic hemorrage that can jeopardize the pregnancy as well. So I'd recommend a compromise where you do pineapple w/core instead of bromelain supps to get the benefits in a less concentrated/medicinal form.

I had come to the same conclusion about the pineapple core with a bit of digging. As for the other one, she want me to take it only to ovulation. Would that reduce the issue of the cell division?

This is one of those things that I don't have the info to say. I just don't know and the info online is all so suspicious that I have a very hard time weeding through the info from the sales jobs.
