I've read a few different answers, so confirming: if I'm to put one of these in my coffee every morning, is it better to have sugar or Splenda, if I'm on the LE PCOS diet?
I had Stevia this morning which was AWFUL and then read it actually sways blue. BAH! But I know I'm supposed to avoid sugar.

Sugar or Splenda for PCOS?

Eh, I doubt stevia really sways blue.
It's better for ALL swayers to have no sweetener or artificial sweetener for morning coffee (even though I personally chose to cheat on this tenet and had regular sugar). It is especially important for PCOSers who should be avoiding sugar as much as possible and since your blood sugar stays higher longer than non-PCOSers, sugar will spike your blood glucose and it will stay up longer.!!! So what I'm hearing is try to avoid any sugar in coffee (tears welling up in eyes), but if I have to sweeten it with something, use regular sugar, not artificial sweetener?

No. Have either NO sweetener (aka nothing)
OR
artificial sweetener.
NOT
real sugar in morning coffee, or between meals coffee, for any swayer, especially those with PCOS, since PCOSers are not supposed to have sugar anyway.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Well I gotta say, I'd prefer no sweetener to artificial sweetener. This is gonna be a tough one! This is one of those year after year habits I've had - I wonder how much this 8-12 week change will affect 20 years of doing it the other way.
But I'll do my best. Thank you!

No sweetener is totally fine! I honestly have severe doubts fake sugar does anything at all for swaying and may even sway blue! http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...me-thread.html
We have seen good results with anything 12 weeks or more (and 8+ is acceptably good) so it can help!
But, like I said, it was something I wasn't willing to change personally. Coffee without sugar saps my will to live.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I've heard, and this may just be a rumor spread by competitors in the sugar substitute industry, that Stevia is used in South America as a contraceptive device. A study has shown that when prepared a certain way, Stevia reduces fertility in female rats.

I"ve seen plenty of people get preggers while drinking it but yes there is some info indicating that it may have some contraceptive effects.
