In need of some reassurance as I wait to find out the gender of my 4th baby. Any moms on here have high blood sugar levels and still were able to conceive a girl?
I am having my 4th child and already have 3 boys. I had gestational diabetes with my last 2 pregnancies and my blood sugar levels are high even when not pregnant. I am borderline pre-diabetic. With this sway I started out skipping breakfast but it was difficult to continue so the month I conceived I was eating breakfast. However, my fasting levels are high anyway so I’m not sure if skipping breakfast would have made a difference. But, I was vegetarian for the most part.
I do not take any medication to deal with my blood sugar levels.
Would love to hear from moms with high blood sugar who had successful sways anyway!

Hi! I have high blood sugar and I am pregnant with a girl! I’m on 1500 of metformin and my blood sugar is still staying high. I’m actually going to a specialist Wednesday to talk about starting insulin. So yes, I do believe you can still conceive a girl with high blood sugar!

I’m a type one diabetic who is pregnant with a baby girl currently! I ate a pretty low carb diet to stop my sugar levels being spiked unnecessarily while trying for this babe, followed the LE but it was for pcos obviously I followed a lower carb than the LE advised so I wouldn’t listen to me 100% . For my 3 boys they weren’t planned so I was not being healthy and trying to keep blood sugars low and now that these types of studies are out, I can 100% agree as to why I ended up with those boys [emoji23]
