Potential Roadblocks on swaying pink, need advice

    Hi all,

Well hubby and I will be TTC a girl in Dec. I'm doing the ions, (fan at work, ionizer at home computer, rose quartz, etc etc), doing the diet mostly (trying more to do the low cal, low fat thing more now than strict IG diet, cutting out big no no's like red meat, bananas, potatoes (tho potatoes are hard to resist!)

Going to excerise briskly for the next 7 weeks until I O at the end of Dec (I'm still overweight from baby 2 and thought that losing weight would help my sway)

    ROADBLOCKS:

Late oct, my hubby and I decided we'd TTC. Well, he abstained for 7 days, wore tighty whiteys, (woudl not do supps) but was eating my dinners, and well, I was really nervous and stressed about pinpointing o+12 time, and he coudn't perform. Would not perform for over a week! GRRR. He said it was too much pressure on him and he can't have sex if it thinks we're just doing it to make a baby. So abstainence is out and so is FR unless it's DTD unfortunately. I just know he won't just go release because i told him so, he's got a low sex drive these days anyway (poor me ( LOL and he won't be able to handle FR, that's why abstaining worked, he had no problem not doing anything for 7 days. He doesn't want to abstain again because he's afraid of another "performance" issue if he's too "aware" of what's going on. He just wants to DTD and see what happens...GRRR, so any advice for that?

My other roadblock is breakfast. I cannot live without it. I have tried, it made me sick the whole day to my stomach. I also get shakey when I do not eat every few hours and my stomach actually physically "hurts". I also tried eating two eggs for breakfast in the whole "low blood glucose" theory but my stomach still hurt, I was still hungry, and I felt foggy headed the whole day.

So...problem is my breakfast of choice is Quaker Insant Oatmeal apples n cinn flavor (two packets) drowned in milk. I used to drink OJ with this (can you say high blood sugar?) but cut out the OJ, but cannot get away from my oatmeal. If I eat anything else first, it usually bothers me or I feel like I'm having an off day. Any other breakfasts similiar that would be OK? I mean if I stick to low cal low everything diet, how bad is oatmeal for my sway?

I feel like the more deeper i look into swaying, the more I see how my body is naturally very resistant to girl sway ideas

So plan is: low cal low everything diet, work out, lose some weight in 7 weeks, my hubby is NO HELP in swaying, somewhat frequent BDing before O, (aiming for the last BD to be 2 day cutoff) use Represh the whole time (will have to do a trial run in late Nov. to make sure it stays at 4.5 pH)...with Represh is it only 1/2 applicator 12 hours before first BD?

supps: baby aspirin, calicum citrate, folic acid, peppermint tea x3 daily (do I really need to use 2 teabags per 1 cup of tea?)

Any other advice, help, hugs, or comments?

You can do a compressed frequent release. It's in the main index. Dh won't abstain for FR since he travels so we are doing compressed frequent release.

It took me 3 days to get over that crappy feeling of skipping breakfast but now I am fine. I just slowly pushed breakfast back an hour each day. I often have decaf coffee or peppermint tea to get me through the morning. If you absolutely can't skip breakfast, try eating something that is all protein, like egg whites.

I use a full applicator of rephresh every 3 days after AF. It lasts about 3 days and keeps everything at a nice 4.5 pH.

My DH has exactly the same issues...we managed to get an abstain on one month but it didnīt get me pregnant.
Now I donīt worry about it anymore,I feel the stress trying to get him to release on the right moment isnīt helping my sway. So we try the get an attempt near OV, without FR or abstain. And if I know his sperm count could be high (because we DTD for example 3 days before) then I do more to lower sperm count in other ways: jump and dump, rephresh, sylk, shallow release..well, I donīt do these anymore because I just want to get pregnant but this was my plan anyway

I think carmellaīs idea about putting breakfast back an hour every day is a good one. I have a tea when I wake up and a decaf coffee around 10 and have lunch at 12-1, I really got used to it and now it has become a habit, used to be a big breakfast eater like you.
    Good luck!

thanks for the advice so far ya'll Only problem is I work full time M-F and I'm worried about getting to work ravenously hungry or getting sick from not eating breakfast and being stuck at work I got no more days to take until Jan starts again (except of course the paid holidays coming up), but my PTO (paid time off) is exhausted for this year already.

Think I may try eggs again over the weekend and see if that will help. Is oatmeal so bad because it's considered "nutritious"?

I'm with you, I need breakfast! I teach preschool and I can't teach all day with nothing in my tummy. I've been just doing a low calorie breakfast. This is probably really weird to most people, but I don't like "breakfast-y' type foods like pancakes, etc. so I eat a cheese stick, a rice cake, and a diet Coke for breakfast. I know it's weird, and it's not alot of food, but I figured it's much better than a full on meal that takes forever to digest. It's gets me through til lunch.

If you have to have breakfast I think itīs best then to have either protein or only carbs, not both as that will raise your blood sugar and keep it high for several hours. So only eggs would be ok or only rice cakes with marmelade but then without milk, yoghurt or cheese. Carbs make your blood sugar rise but it drops back quickly if you donīt combine it with protein.
I had to have breakfast a couple of months ago because I had relatives over, I would eat only ricecakes with sugary things, and I would feel my blood sugar drop after an hour or two so it would stay low untill lunch time.
I donīt know exactly about oatmeal, but it was found in the Oxford study that people having cereal for breakfast have more boys, (and people usually have cereal with a protein source like milk or yoghurt).
I think oatmeal with milk isnīt the best thing for a girl sway.

First of all, (((hugs))), swaying can be very stressful.

    1) Don't stress about abstaining. If he has a low sex drive, that's actually a GOOD sign for pink anyway. I think you should just wait till you get a pos OPK and DTD that night using RepHresh (use the RepHresh the day before or morning of your attempt) and don't even speak a word to him about TTC. If you WANT to, you can DTD again the next day (which will prob. be O day) and/or you can skip O day and DTD the next day, which would allow you to kinda-sorta do an O+12 without the stress and worry and checking yoru cervix every 30 minutes. Plus, if you happen to release 2 eggs, you'll at least have a shot at the second egg.

2)No worries on the breakfast front. If you need it, you need it. It's just one strategy for lowering blood sugar. If you must eat bfast, that's fine, but try to stick with the other ways to lower blood sugar - no snacking, don't eat big huge meals that take forever to digest, wait till you're hungry before eating again.

3)Oatmeal has a chemical in it that raises testosterone, so it's not an ideal choice other than once in a while. Can you limit oatmeal to twice a week and then Malt-o-Meal or Cream of Wheat the rest of the time? Also, white rice topped with skim milk and sugar is another possibility.

    Yogurt smoothies are another option.

4)You're right that for some of us, swaying pink is pretty tough because our habits and even fundamental natures, are just more blue friendly. But as Charlotte Mason said, "Habit is worth ten natures." We can change those habits and even if our nature is "blue", those habits are worth a heck of a lot more than our nature!!!

5)NO you don't need to use 2 teabags to one cup of tea. In fact I prefer if people keep the pep tea to dietary amounts, so 3 teabags a day is ample.

    6) RepHresh 1/2 applicator 12 hours before BD is fine, there is no right or wrong way to do it tho, so if you have longer or shorter timing on that, don't stress about itt.

I would MUCH rather you ate oatmeal than eggs (unless it's just egg whites). Eggs are even worse than oatmeal for raising testosterone, because they have cholesterol which is what your body makes testosterone from.

Thanks Atomic, really glad to have your input!!!

I've decided to stick to my oatmeal on days I work and try to avoid eating until 11-12 on the weekends. I'm currently eating no salt Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on white bread with milk and yogurt for lunch. It's much lower cal than my last lunch which used to be one of those yummy salt-laden frozen dinners with over 600 calories. Just by changing lunch I can feel my pants getting a bit more loose.

Atomic, do you know if cream of wheat also has testoeroine in it? I used to eat that breakfast years ago when I was young, and I'd be willing to go back to it if that's less of an offender than oatmeal.
