Should I half my Clomid dose or up cals

    Hi,

I just wondered whether I should have my Clomid tablets so I’m taking just 25mg.

I took Clomid for two months and my LP was just 6/7 days. I had lost too much weight, and, as per Atomic’s advice, took a month off (which ended up being two by the time I ovulated!). During a non-Clomid cycle, I had a normal (for me) 10 day LP. We didn’t try that month. I took Clomid again this month, and had a 7 day LP.

I’m eating around 2000 cals per day, 50-60g fat, around 50g protein. I’ve gained back around 4lbs, but am still borderline underweight. I walk on a treadmill for an hour five days a week at a brisk pace. I take 1000mcg folate a day and 300mg iodine.

I was wondering whether halving the Clomid dose may still sway, but allow my LP to be normal. Or should I up my calories some more to gain a bit more weight? I’m 14lb lighter than when I originally started the PCOS LE diet.

    Thanks for your advice.

This is just one of those things that I honestly do not know. Personally, I'd try the 25 mg, cut back one more day on the exercise, drop fiber if you were taking it, and be sure you're doing the full fat dairy/eggs/salmon (I'm pretty sure we talked about this already) and if you need to do that in addition to what you're already eating, so be it (meaning, if you are having to eat substantially less to get that salmon in there, quit counting the salmon and just add it on to whatever you're already eating. The dairy and eggs are easier to fit in the limits but if you have to bend the limits a bit that's fine)

    I’m not doing fibre.

I’m vegan, so I switched vegetable oil to coconut oil, added in some nuts/nut butter. I was already eating hummus for fat too.

I keep trying to find any vegans with successful sways to see what they are, but can’t seem to find any! I’m sure I’ve seen some.

Is it possible that the fiber is cutting of my odds off conception? Never thought about that. I’m taking 2 a day. 1000 mg pyllium husk from solgar.

Fiber can absorb enough fat to make it harder for your body to make sex hormones. If your O has been delayed or your LP short then I recommend dropping the fiber.

Why not try taking one a day instead? 1 is enough. Jut be sure you are taking it only with foods containing fat. there is no reason to take the fiber unless you're eating fat or a food that has a high amount of fat soluble nutrients A, D, E, K (this will generally be skim dairy...very few foods have those nutrients without also having fat!"
