Hi!
I never thought Id have this reaction when I was told I was having a girl after 3 boys. Im so scared 1) its a mistake somehow (even though two different doctors (very conservative ones) both said 100% girl
2) that Ill have a miscarriage (especially since i have the hematoma which makes me bleed)
Is this normal?
And I cant stop looking at the potty shot.. definitely no penis but two horizontal lines instead of three vertical ones.??
Everything is making me paranoid and I cant sleep. I fell this is just too good to be true.
Sorry If I offend anyone who is having gender disappointment right now, I am BEYOND grateful and feel so blessed but I wish I could keep my mind at ease.
Doc said lines were because it was still super early and she had no fat yet to form the labia everyone sees later on.
Any input would be appreciated.

Having a girl and becoming so scared

Not sure if it’s normal but it was absolutely my experience. I had 9 ultrasounds with DD1. 7 medical and 2 for fun. Every time (except once when her foot was in the way) was told girl. I still had huge anxiety and was practically shocked that she was actually a girl when she was born. I wish I could have held on to faith and God’s Plan and enjoyed the pregnancy.
Just letting you know that I understand.

How far along were you for those pictures?
I *personally* wouldn't call gender from it, (I won't tell someone it's a girl without seeing the 3 lines), but that definitely doesn't mean they are wrong, live scanning is better to tell then frozen pictures and honestly none of my 3 boys looked like that.
I'm a sonographer and have seen that we are having a girl probably 4x already. Plus, it was a PGS- tested female embryo. Plus I did the bloodwork. But I still glance at her girl parts weekly just to make sure.
Try to relax, the worry is not going to help anything, and if by some fluke it is a boy, you will find out soon enough and there's nothing you can do to change that either. Most likely the doctors are correct and you have nothing to worry about!
I do worry more about something going wrong with this pregnancy because the last time we had a daughter, she died after birth. And being a sonographer makes me really paranoid- I know too much about all the stuff that can go wrong. But I try not to dwell on it because there's nothing we can do about it and driving myself nuts won't help anything.(2009)

It's normal to feel like that. People go over and over their pics and still aren't convinced till the baby is born (and many times not even then.) If two docs told me 100% girl I'd still have had my doubts with DD till she was born!
Bad things do happen in pregnancy and again, you're going to worry, that's what all of us have done. I woke up in a cold sweat in the night all the time until just last year convinced that my daughter wasn't breathing (she's 6!)
So just do what you can do to try to stay calm, but just know that it's something we all experienced!! ((((hugs))))!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thanks for relating and sharing me tour experiences..! I try to remind myself that yes, having a girl was against all odds given my history of conceiving boys.. but ALSO its totally possible.
I know many families with 3 or 4 sons and then a daughter.
So I guess Ill try to relax and believe...
thanks so much

It wasn't against all odds though. Even without swaying people get girls after 2-3-4 or more boys!! All we do with swaying is try to boost the already existing odds!
I know it's really hard - just do your best to stay chill, I think it will likely get easier after you get used to the idea!!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
