I thought the baster method WAS proven to damage sperm if not done very very gently... I don;t think it would cause birth defects, just that those sperm wouldn't make it to the egg

Hi Gemgem,
I too have read about this and the success stories. We are probably going to give it ago in our next cycle in Feb. We did a practice run with a sample of DH's sperm a few days ago. You will kill some sperm in the process but lower sperm count sways pink also.
The sample DH gave was ph8, i put one drop of lime and tested again and straight away could see the drop in the ph after few drops the ph of the sample was about 4.5. I warmed the lime first by putting in container inbetween my boobs to get it to body temp.
I think we will try it but the only thing that puts me off is i have read that it reduces the chances of you actually getting pregnant. We were only going to start ttc in March but to try this method we may have ago in Feb.

I know that this reduces your chances of getting pg, but for me it is an itch I have to scratch.... I just have to try it. I have decided to give myself one or two cycles with it. I have never been able to find many stories about people getting pg with it (a lot of people seem to try it for a number of months then give it up as they havent gotten og), but most of the ones I have found who got pg seem to have girls, with a few exceptions resulting in boys. I have considered maybe only lowering the sample to 5.0 or even 5.5, just to give myself more of a chance at getting pg. I know that on IG it was claimed anything over 4.5 was "boy territory"... but I mean really, most men have a sample of 7 or 8, and without swaying (ie 99.9% of human history!) most women go up to the 6s or so around ovulation, so in the natural world surely the combined ph must be quite high. I figure lowering it to the 5s must do something to sway pink, but maybe make it a little easier to get pg. I would be interested to hear anything you find to read about spliming, as I have found it hard to find much about this at all.

Hi gemgem and welcome.
Here is my thread about douching and also TBM. These will answer all your q's.
http://genderdreaming.com/forum/show...ching-TTC-Pink http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...r-swaying.html
It does reduce chances of pg BY A LOT. Personally, I am not a fan of splime because it is very stressful for people and may raise testosterone, unsanitary and unproven in terms of safety, lowers odds of pg dramatically, and we can accomplish the exact same thing using jellies.
In terms of foods to avoid, there ARE no magic foods http://genderdreaming.com/forum/scie...gic-foods.html The idea that one food or food group can overwhelmingly cause you to have a baby of a certain gender does not add up in the real world. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...roversial.html
You might want to read these as well, first one is an overview of all the sway diets http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...s-swaying.html and the second one is an attempt to sort of combine the diets all into one, which wasn't very successful because it made a diet that was so restrictive no one could follow it, but you might find it helpful anyway http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-...-ttc-pink.html
If you're looking for the In-Gender list of forbidden/allowed foods, that is available in the Dream Members section (sorry i can't post that publicly, because it does not belong to me)
My LE Diet plus food guides, meal plans, recipes, etc. are also in the Dream Members section - there is a button on the top of every forum (it's pink and hard to miss) that you can click to become a Dream Member.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with caffeine for a girl sway - I drank absolutely loads of diet coke leading up to our attempt.
I do, however, think it helps to have a plan firm in your head and to relax when you start trying. If you're worrying, stressing, doing research etc. then you're potentially boosting your testosterone levels and swaying boy (which is why I agree with Atomic about not doing any of the 'at home science' stuff - but obviously that's your call too).2005

Well i think we are deffo going to give splime a shot for one cycle at least
When doing the test run we didnt find it stressful at all. I think we are a very fertile couple as with our boys, we got pg 1st month with DS1 2nd month with DS2 and 1st month again with DS3. DH seems to think he has super sperm , so this will be the test. DH likes a challenge...lol!!!

... but it's taking on challenges which gives your body reason to produce testosterone!
I understand if it's an itch you need to scratch thoughFWIW, I conceived DS1 first attempt, DS2 3rd attempt (I was still BFing and cycles were still sketchy), DS3 first time and this little girl first time too. It's quite possible that you would take longer to conceive a girl because fertility is artificially lowered by our swaying but lower fertility (than before) doesn't necessarily mean so low that it's difficult to conceive and getting pregnant first attempt isn't confined to boys!

The IG claim that anything over 4.5 being boy territory, is utterly ludicrous and I hope no one pays it any attention whatsoever.
NORMAL semen and EWCM pH is in the 7's and all the women walking around out there who have daughters and never given it a second of thought had pH in this range.
That doesn't even count all the many failed blue sways (MANY) where they had done everythign they could to raise their pH and still conceived girls.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
