    Girl Appropiate Foods

    So April 1st is coming up and I am "fixing" my diet due to the fact that I was swaying blue by accident and I am taking a risk of trying although I'm not in pink mode yet. Only thing that I think is good for pink is that I been exercising, lost weight, take folic acid & baby aspirin, & I eat lots of veggies & strawberries. So if you ladies can please please help me it would be a blessing !

    My meals vary all the time but it stay the same if that makes any sense at all
    Here's some things not what I eat in 1 day but different days

    Breakfast; NONE
    Lunch: greek yogurt,strawberries,banana, skim milk, English muffin, grilled chicken black bean jalepeno tortilla
    Dinner; always before 7--romaine lettuce,tomatoes,grilled chicken,green giant steamers,salmon(only Wednesdays and Fridays),brown rice,pasta mixed with veggies

    Should I add more fruit?? Change anything?

    i think i would just become a vegetarian and cut out the chicken and fish altogether - but otherwise it looks good to me - although there are other ladies on here who are really knowledgeable so maybe they will help...
    are you drinking diet coke or something else ? peppermint tea? some girls drink lots of carbonated water...not sure what this does but i have seen it mentioned...
    i dont eat eggs (sometimes egg whites for an omlette but not very often) and really try to stick to veggies and salad...

    I don't eat meat but I never have.

    Im drinking a lot of diet soda, peppermint tea, very little bottled water.

    Skipping breakfast.

    Eating a small meal at 12 and then dinner at 5 and thats it most days. Trying to stay away from dairy and no nuts. Cutting out as much salt as I can.

    I take all the help I can get so little to loads of knowledge I accept so thank you!
    I am super prone to kidney stone so I don't dare drink soda! Only wate(tap or seltzer),skim milk, and cranberry juice once in a blue. I have cheated and drank 100% Dole pineapple juice a few days ago for my birthday. And now that I am sick first thing hubby grabbed was green tea because in my weight loss process I would drink it but it was 1 cup with lots of sugar (he's heavy handed) but I took it because my throat was on fire!
    The only thing I take is folic acid and baby aspirin but I was force feed robutussin for my violent cough today and I am awaiting AF which is due tomorrow..don't know if that matters ??

    I definitely must invest in this peppermint tea now and I only drink bottled water after I boil tap water and fill up the bottle lol and seltzer water. I skip breakfast now in which I always have but last month I began eaTing I because a doctor told mei couldn't lose weight without eating breakfast. And I need my skim milk and no nuts over here!

    There are no magic foods that guarantee or prevent conception of a particular gender. It's your overall diet as a whole that matters, not any one food.

    Stick to 1500-1800 cals a day, 40-50 g pro, 25-60 g fat (20-30% of your day's cals from fat) 700-1000 mg sodium, and 2500-3500 mg potassium and you'll be fine.

    That having been said, some foods make it easier to accomplish those goals than other foods do. If you eat a lot of chicken, you get a lot of protein for very few cals and then have nothing to eat for the rest of the day without going over on protein.

    Some foods are also better fuel or more nutritionally complete for our bodies - animal proteins, healthy fats, dairy, heavily fortified grain products - and so it's best to limit those or cut them out entirely. And sometimes if you have a choice between a more nutritious and less nutritious food, you may want to choose the less nutritious option altho that DOES NOT mean that you can never eat a more nutritious food or your sway will fail, just that if you have the option and all other things being equal, pick the less nutritious one. But you can STILL EAT more nutritious foods as long as you are fitting in with your day's totals.

    If you take saw palmetto, don't do the pep tea.

    Robitussin can sway blue but if you're that early in your cycle it does not matter.

    My 1st time hearing of saw palmetto is here at GD I donteven know what it is or what it looks like but I drink peppermint tea for this sore throat of mine because I'm sick and its loaded with sugar thanks to DH attempt of taking care of me lol.
    Being sick is ruining everything! I think even my cycle being that I am now 2 days late and hubby has been feeding me soup,rice or tuna..BAD ! Not a part of the pink plan!! I'm not even getting any exercise except trips to the bath and back to the bed and the fact that I was not able to keep food down is the only weight I probably lost..I'm so stressed!!
