My recommendations would be to request skin to skin and breast feeding in theatre while they are stitching you back up. For me the worst bit is going to recovery after while DH goes back to the wards with baby. But this is not the case in all countries.
I would recommend getting a support wrap as it does make things easier. Especially when a toddler is climbing all over you.
Take all the pain meds you can for the 1st week or so.
Have someone around to help for the 1st week after you come home
As regards lifting. Treat your body like you are still heavily pregnant. In other words don't pick up your toddler
Rest as much as possible but also keep active. I have been taking short walks since I came home. Increasing the amount of time each day.DD Christmas 2010

mini-sorry it didn't worked! I also had a c/s with DD3 and she was a preemie baby so they took her away and I only saw her next day for a couple min. they took her in a different hospital so she only BF some days after birth and she did good anyway.
The walking was little hard after c/s for some days , that's it.
hopefully your baby is ok and he turns.

Thanks Flava. I certainly think so. The 3 of us are so in love with. DD has to go and give him a kiss 1st thing every morning and she is afraid that any of our visitors might take him home with them.
