Im very confused - can anyone make things clearer?
Hi,
We plan to start ttc blue next month. I already have an ovulation testing kit from when we conceived our daughter but havnt stated using it yet. I am interested in changing my diet, introducing vit supplements and anything else that will sway our chances. (I already take folic acid and husband takes Zinc)
I have had a browse through the various threads and am feeling in a spin and more confused than ever.
can anyone help make things a little simpler for me?
What foods/drinks should I avoid? What supplements will help create a more alkaline environment? Does body temp play a part?
Id really appreciate someone giving me a bit of a starting point.
Thanks
Jayne xxx

A lot to read but it's all really interesting! Some things I never thought would help. We tried our best at a boy sway this month for the time we were allotted. DH had to leave for work so I'm crossing my fingers that I ovulated early like I thought I did. I'm still not going to test until the 25th when I'm due for AF

thanks for your help, gonna try and do some reading!
Can I ask, is it generally more to do with the man (and his sperms quality, speed, count etc) than anything I can do? - Or is it just as important that I take the correct supplements/have the right diet?
We are both fairly healthy although Im sure we must consume too much salt as we both love salty snacks (husband even sprinkles salt on things like tomatoes). I would like to do as much as I can too.

I would say that the woman has more control over the "environment" than the man. In many cases, the woman are doing the diet and supplements, and DH doesn't contribute at all!

Read the info until your brain hurts...walk away, let it digest and sink in and then come back for more.
Their is a lot of info but the more I mull it over in my brain, the more it makes sense.
Good luck!!

Well my DP has 3 girls, and didnt change a thing for our sway I DID EVERYTHING and we have been blessed with a boy I believe the most important thing is the diet. The HE diet learn about that first and i feel like the longer you are on the diet the better your sway. Then supps come into play, there are quite a lot, just pick the ones you feel comfortable with, there is pre seed which is great for boy swaying if you dont get a lot of ewcm naturally. And then there is exercise, you will want to start doing some weight/strength training, start out easy then push yourself closer to your attempts.

I do not think body temp makes any difference (well, it MAY but it's not something where you can just tell by taking your temps)
I think, and science supports, that it is your condition that matters most. In nature the male can "hit and run" but a woman's body has to be able to sustain pg for 9 months, breastfeed for at least 9 months after that, and then raise the child in her environment regardless of whether the father is around or not. So it's best for a baby's survival to go off of what Mama brings to the table.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
