Lactic acid and lifting weights
To what extent will the build up of lactic acid during/after lifting weights reduce the pH of CM? I am sure I read somewhere on here that drinking ural before hand can help? I can't find where I read it though.

i always thought that lactic acid is only produced when you are burning muslce, which isnt until about after 45-60min of hard core high intensity resistance training (so lifting like 200lbs on and off for like an hr). the muscle runs out of oxygen so starts producing lactic acid as a means to "cope." youd be out of breathe big time too.
i could be wrong tho. so as long as you dont overexert yourself when you are lifting, the pH ofyour CM should be okay. ill try to find the thread i tHINK you are talking about...
baking soda drink/ural was/is used in athletes who train/perform for long endurance..liek runners who want to avoid cramping, but drs say this isnt effective and if you stretch (warm up cool down appropriately) youd be better off...thats just after some research on line that i did..hope this helps!

here s one link, under "how it works"
http://genderdreaming.com/forum/show...a-both-genders
and here, at the end of the 1st post after "you must take a very large dose of folic acid.."
http://genderdreaming.com/forum/show...da+lactic+acid
but after reading that i dot know what why youd do the BSD/ural if youre not supposed to overexert yoruself. maybe just precautionary?
this is a godo question bc i was planning on doing push ups and/or sqquats right before attempt for a quick T boost!!! and i dont want the acidity!!

Thanks for the info Gizmo. I did some research too and I think we will all be fine because it's not like we are lifting weights hard core. But if we have low lactic acid thresholds then that's a totally different story. I think I will have a ural an hour before doing weights as a precaution. I'm going to have it daily anyway so may as well make the most of it.
That was the post I was looking for so thanks for that as well.

Hello, Atomic hopefully you will see this! It has definitely been a while. I am not TTC, my cycles have been MIA for over a year, I'm quite certain. I have not been charting but haven't had it....
Not sure where to ask not TTC
