Questions
I'm planning to start swaying next month and am trying to figure out how to up protein and calcium. I'm naturally a low calorie eater and don't eat much meat which equals girly. Here's what I'm thinking: oatmeal banana for breakfast (I know that's no protein), fruit/nuts snack, salad with 2eggs/cheese lunch, protein shake with almonds snack and red meat for dinner with veggies. I eat dessert every night, usually ice cream so I was wondering if I could change that to a glass of full fat milk but could I add chocolate syrup to it, would that be ok? Or should I take a calcium supplement. I'm pretty conscious of my weight so I'm trying to make small boy friendly changes without tons of calories. Also I drink 2 cups of coffee a day and thought I could switch that to green tea. I run about 8 miles a week, usually over 2 days and do weights 3 times a week so I'm hoping that's enough strength training?? Would love thoughts/suggestions!

Sounds like you've factored in lots of boy friendly foods already which is great. Thought you could possibly do a smoothie for dessert with full fat milk, yogurt and fruit ias an option? GL wish your sway and getting a bfp.

Could you add in some nuts or peanut butter or yogurt to your breakfast? Even a bit of milkl?? Oatmeal does have some protein in it but it's incomplete and adding dairy especially will complete the protein.
ARe you taking a multivitamin like Women's one a day?? That would have some calcium in it already and also a nice amount of Vit. D that will help you use the calcium better.
def. switch from coffee to tea, be aware that green tea has a lot less caffeine. I would consider doing black tea (which has a bit more caff) at least at first as a transition, so maybe 2 black, 1 green.

Thank y'all for responding. I've been a lurker for years I will start the vitamins you and plan to get my husband to as well. Anything else vitamins/supplements you suggest? I've seen kiwi suggested for potassium.

What supps if any are you already on?
RE Kiwi - there are no magic foods. If you like kiwi, it's fine to enjoy that as one of your fruit servings, but nothing special, magic, or boy-producing about it - important thing is to eat a wide variety of foods.

I'm not taking anything yet. I'm 35 so I think you recommended 2,000 of folic acid?? From other posts I've noticed you like a woman's once a day and a probiotic. I'm confused on the vitamin D/calcium/magnesium recommendation. I will have at least 1 cup of milk and 1 serving of cheese a day, but would you use a supplement as well?

If you're taking the Women's One a Day you don't need the other stuff.
Yes probiotic got great results for you.
I'd also take a DHA supp designed for pregnancy.
Coq10 (ubiquinol is best) 100 mg a day.
The 2000 folic is not because of your age but because we use that for our blue swayers. Some of the supps that some take mess with absorption of folic.
So happy for you Treens, congratulations Sent from my SM-A225F using Tapatalk
